In Italy ther's not a "straight" meaning, but yes most of the boys who wear earings wear just one and in the left side.

Btw 2 wear 2 is very uncommon and infact some peaple who are not exately Baggio fan call him "the lord of the rings"

Also is uncommon to wear it on the right but IMO Vieri did this just cause he's ignorant that he cannot reconice which one is the right and which the left
