I checked the mafia game for dummies, it was stated there too that the crooked cop gets to know about both the name and the role of the investigated player. Funny thing is that I have played this game several times here and I didn't know that. We played without a crooked cop when I was a G and then I never needed to specifically check the rules as I have always been a C after getting the gangster role for three times in a row.

I think we should definitely change this role. It doesn't make any sense. The crooked cop must only know who the D investigates. Based on that, the Gs can read into players and try to figure the D. But to get the role of the investigated player is ridiculous. Normally, it must be considered an achievement for the D to investigate the BG but with this rule, it will only backfire on the Cs.
I do see it as an unfair advantage for the Gs, yeah. It also makes the game for the Gs a bit more difficult and exciting.

I seriously have no idea this game...Hoori is somewhat suspicious though I agree.
What makes me suspicious?

It's so hard to narrow down suspects with so many people. And it's also much harder playing as a C because you have to defend yourself while looking for the Gs.

P.S. free +reps to all the Gs if I'm recruited.
You are one of the usual suspects of this game for me, even in the games you turn out to be a C.

Because she is. At least if she didn't got recruited in the last 10 hours or so.
How do you know I'm a C? I'm really interested myself :p

I don't believe Deneb is a G, but the way Sheik has been acting is totally the same like when we were Gs together. A clear example is the joke he pulled on Janna last night.
How does his last night joke suggest that he might be a G?

Also, one of the posts i read in the past pages that got my attention was Hoori asking the D to pm the C's he investigated. Now one question came to my mind when i saw that post. Does Hoori really not know about recruitment? How can someone like Hoori who we all know is one of the best at the game, and who was a G a few times too, not know about such a vital rule as recruitment? Then later after Kyle "reminds" her about the recruitment rule, she's like "ya you're right the detective should only contact the BG". Even though the tactic of the D only contacting the BG and not trusting anyone else, has been standard for like forever. I might be reading too much into this, but does nobody else find it kinda off?
I never thought of the recruitment, it's mostly because I haven't seen the game from a gangster perspective for a long while now. You know when I was a gangster, we used to play it simple without crooked cop/recruiter.

And it wasn't Kyle who reminded me of that but Risa. If I was a G, why should I ask the D to not contact anyone then? It's not like anyone noticed what I had said there.

Yeah, has the game ever been played where the CC only finds out who was investigated and not the role?
Apparently not. But I thought we ALWAYS played like that. Only the name, not the role.

My current list of suspects is: Hoori, Rab, Fred, Salvo, Katie, Nzoric, Jasper

Sheik is sketchy too.
Except Rab who I'm undecided about, I don't suspect any of others you mentioned there.

The number of normal civilians is really large in this game. We must have added a few more roles for this game.
If the D and the BG are not gonna find each other, the only thing we can do is to accuse each other. We need them to make things easier for us.

I was thinking about one more G and one more special C role, but I couldn't think of a special role and what could that role do, so I left it as it is.

That's an idea for the next games where we will have +20 players. A new civilian special role, but without some big powers. You can all think about this.

    He's being silly. He's never silly when he's a boring C. He can't lie.
I don't think what he did last night was silly. It wasn't even meant to be silly imo. Deneb might be a G and then it might look as if it was Sheik who saved him by making it a tie between him and two other players but it was actually Janna who unintentionally saved Deneb and because she might have been lynched herself by her last second vote change, I don't think we can read anything into what happened last night. I think it was random.

It's not just about Janna's vote. Just his random voting. I don't believe he planned for that to happen either.

His posts today are shouting "Watch me!".
