Should've been the 90's but players like Baggio and Zola weren't allowed to play together.
ya I was going to say the 90s. Italy was great, never really lost a Euro or WC in regulation, was always PKs. That was a great generation for Italy, just unlucky in many occasions.

De Gea - starter for Man Utd
Montoya - 24 appearances for Barcelona
Bartra - 16 appearances for Barcelona
Martínez - starter for Sociedad
Moreno - starter for Sevilla
Koke - starter for Atlético
Illarramendi - starter for Sociedad
Thiago Alcântara - 36 appearances for Barcelona
Tello - 34 appearances for Barcelona
Morata - 15 appearances for Real Madrid
Isco - starter for Málaga

The experience of that team is scary. You have Muniain and Carvajal on the bench that are starters for pretty big clubs as well. Nice work Borini.

But in Italy players who are 23yo or younger are inexperienced and too young to play

It's insane, Spain will be atop the footballing ladder for a while yet. This Italy team has grinta though, nice to see. Italy is producing some interesting talents.. Just about how we manage them now.

We need to give our youth playing time, experience at the top club level. That is the key, look at Spain, look at Germany.... thats the secret to success on all levels! Fk all the foreign influx into SerieA, use our youth! Look at what the influx of foreign players into the premier league did to England, they're horrible on every level!
