Yet they were 0-0 with an Italy team reduced to ten men on the hour, so how did they win 5-0 against a Portugal team who beat Italy 2-0, with a man down?
These things happen even at senior level. They happen even more often with these boys for which motivation and psychological state of mind play a huge role.
Croatia had nothing to lose today, Portugal were favorites. For 18 year old kids these things, the pressure and all, make a difference.

Oh I agree, I was just pissing on your Croatia parade, sorry :D Anything can happen at this level, I watch a lot of youth football from schoolboy level to U21 and it is hilarious some of the things that go on and how games turn because of inexperience. I haven't seen much of this tournament though.

HT England 0 - 0 France

HT Netherlands U19 0 - 0 Austria U19

If these results remain, France and Netherlands will go to the semis.

Hey Dule, I know that after the Azzurrini were eliminated this is not a thread to keep going with this euro, but there won't be much interest anyway, even if we start another thread, so can we continue here or...?

Spain have taken the lead against England. Watching England they are just pure pace and power, stumbling through attacks, nothing changes. Bostock seems the one who wants to dribble and pass the ball.

Do you ever see the Victory Shield (School boy Home Internationals)?

England usually win, because they pack their team out with giants and athletes.

Scotland in the last couple of years have been miles ahead of England when it has come to technique, but haven't had the physique to back it up and win.

Still, if Scotland are putting the emphasis on technique at that age and England are not, things are more likely to get better for Scotland in 5-10 years time.
