yeah its not nice nor fair. i understand there is a business/politics issue going on between al-jazeerah and egyptain radio and tv union but why do people who subscribed or people who go to cafes to watch the game suffer bec both parties dont want to sort the problems out peacefully. why yaa abed, the wc is always fun and it takes your mind off every day life for a while. its a good break to be honest specially in our summers which are very hot and we tend to be lazy in. besides tomorrow isa u can always use football to make up excuses for not wanting to go out shopping :D

I love the last sentence. It is a good one indeed.

People deserve to watch what they paid for. Aljazeera and Nilesat can fight later.

I did not subscribe to Aljazeera because I almost lost any interest in football, Ahmed. But I feel for all those people that paid for watching matches and were seemingly robbed.

They showed the second half only. I am not sure wtf is going on, but I am thinking of it as Sadaqa for all those claiming to be poor and can't afford $80 to watch WC games! I am saying this as there is a arabic Al Jazeera forum and loads of ppl hintin how poor they are! On the other hand, those poor guys, they can afford the same amount to by a receiver and a subscription to unlock all channels.

it's BS mate, why the fuck should we pay 275 for something we've already subscribed too! I've had JS on E-Vision for past 2 years, I feel cheated with this shit.

believe me everyone is. So far no one is sure what is going on after yesterdays action. With all the changes made to frequenceies and satellites something is fucked up for sure but we don't know whats happening. I dont know if WC will show on open channels all the way, and if so, will there be some sort of compensation for us "those who paid"? we wait and see. will keep you posted if I get anything.

For the time being, get your popcorn in your lap and enjoy the games.

actually Jazeera are capable of showing all the games on FTA. They have made so much money from ads and sponsorship way beyond they could have imagined or paid for in the first place. So, profit wise, they are well comvered :D

Guys, its been reviled that Morrocan hackers(no shit) has been the ones responsible for the whole mess with al Jazeera and they will continue doing this to every match until al Jazeera announces that it will broadcasts all the wc matches for free.

Its all or nothing for those capitalism fighters :D
It is so annoying for all those around me that care about this World Cup. They got mad whenever Aljazeera goes down. Here in Jordan, no other choice because Jordanian Tv was too cheap to pay for Aljazeera. I love the media fight on Aljazeera that they will sue anybody who is causing this. It is all about politics. I loved the people who sent to Aljazeera Mubasher Channel SMS calling for launching a separate Qatari satellite. I think it is not impossible if the Qatari prince and his wife Mrs. Banana like the idea.
Nah, Im watching it on the turkey channel TRT and I've even managed to catch the Egyptian second ground channel on the satellite Express AM22 :D

Here's to technology

It was to be expected that matches would be aired lived, the ART did it the previous WC and so did the Jazeera but this time they did it for charity and seemingly they'll continue doing this as long as Moroccan hackers are alive :D

You're wrong. It's out of their control, they're being hacked. That's why they now hired a British team to handle the encryption codes of the broadcast frequency.

They're the victims at this point.

I agree then, but you gotta keep in mind that ART are the ones who started this whole mess. Before the 2006 wc all the rights were distributed on government T.Vs that in turn broadcasted them for free just like the case of the Olympics but the ART bought the rights from FIFA for ridiculous fee and then wanted to make profit by selling those to regular people and when Al Jazeera bought those from ART for a sum of ~2$ billion they also had to make their profit.

 to be honest i was worried we might've tried pulling an Egypt against jsc as per usu but i'm relieved this war is taking a break bec the move is retarded. i understand these guys being upset and all and rightly so but they ruined it for every one to be honest and jsc will not change. guys with out any bias i think jsc's coverage is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay much better than ART, hell art were the real yuhidi's in this buisness they just showed very few games for free and there world cup subscription was exteremly over priced. the thing is people are no longer wet behind the ears bec they know now that world wide people watch the world cup for free while we have to pay to watch every game instead of living our national tv's the freedom of choice as to which matches we end up watching.

ahmed trust me on this, watch it on the turkish channel and to hell with the commentary bec the ones on the egyptain channel are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo annoying u have no idea. i switched to that channel to watch the argie game and i swear i lost interest in the game ( note i was looking forward to this game but after the hackers fucked it up for me and then the commentator on the egyptain channel completed the major turn off for me)

true but making more and more cash is better for them :D they will never show the games for free yamen even if they made double what they paid to get the rights. the most we can expect is them airing the final stages of the wc for free other than that i dont see any thing significant
