    :howler:

Yeah and he wanted to bring his GIRL-FRIEND. It's like for God's sake man, you cannot check-in with your girl friend in Saudi Arabia (of all countries)...let alone even take her with you! lol

I wonder if Sarkozy gulped the coffee like he would a tequila shot.

Really? I read an article in the paper few days back on the controversy of his image - a model marries a pop star, a president marries a University nerd/valedictorian daddy's smart little girl type.

Anyhow, they mentioned his Saudi visit and that he was discouraged to bring her along....didn't know that he actually did take her..

Yes, he took her wherever he wanted and nobody could say a word.

what is your problem guys? not that I am defending him, but aren't you exaggerating a little?
We just condemn being double-faced when applying your rules. No unmarried couple can get into there. Why are they allowed and welcomed?

Even in India it made a protocol issue:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/7195788.stm

But Arabs didn't care that much about breaching their own rules.

I wouldn't criticize any sides Rebel, he is the French president, he sure will get that treatment, and Arabs have a tradition that I value alot, which is hospitality.
