I went to Istanbul last June, and the traffic was nothing compared to Beirut.

I don't think there is more traffic-crowded city in the region more than Beirut. It was horrible.

I went twice on September and November, 2009.

I was talking about the region because I have no idea about New York. Is it that bad traffic wise??

I just remembered that Algiers was so close to Beirut in this regard especially in the morning.

If there is police/baladiye, there is always traffic. They fuck it instead of putting in order..

Exactly. That is what shocked me. Algiers has the same problem. They have policemen to organize traffic at each intersection 24 hours aday

At least they have someone to organize, our policemen on the streets never organize but rather eat Falefel or Shawarma all day long or sitting down the corner and having a chat with his friends.
