After today, it should be him or Locatelli or neither. Movement and pressing alone can't cut it. He supposedly has a good left foot, but we don't ever get to see one good delivery in the box or a good shot on goal. Horrible plan for a €50m+ investment to be playing like he is

I loved how the commentators were praising him relentlessly when taking corners. "He's so good putting that ball on the six every time, one of the best in Serie A."

Why is this something to be praised? I was putting the ball on a dime every single time in high school on corners. How many goals have we scored on these, none?

This dude is fucking useless, period.
Love it!

I just can't understand how he gets the full 90 mins today. He was awful...what is it that he was doing for motta to think he must stay on?

What is his role? He is the invisible man and when you can see him he does nothing.

Im perplexed as to why he has been given a starting role from day 1 without performing. What does it tell others? Playing shit is acceptable? The shittier you are the more chances you get?

This whole justification piece is a joke. We literally play with 10 men every game.

Bench him or change his role so he can make an impact. ffs motta...this isnt bologna.

I remember before Motta came we heard a lot about him playing players on merit. If they didn't perform, they'd lose their place.

What is going on with starting Koop repeatedly?
I've lost all faith in him and I struggle to see how he looks so unathletic here after playing for Gasperini.

I know what it is.

Jungtoli is forcing Motta to play Koopmeiners because of his price tag.

That's the only explanation.

Truth to be told - The guy is completely out of form both in physical and his passing game which isnt what it used to be. ATM I think we need to clear everything that isnt working so unless the new coach wants Koop, he is a goner as well for me.

I honestly never figured out what is the big deal with this guy anyway. He is no Davids or Seedorf.

I guess its another case of Atalanta special magic. As we can see every year Atalanta lose players but remain competitive for CL spot.

I would like to see him under a decent coach. For now he's flopmeiners but almost every player is playing under the expectations with mota.
But this cam be said for the whole team..bring in a coach like conte and we would be 20 points more than where we sit now.

It is an absolute shitshow out there and has been for months.

It was a weird one. He was never anywhere near to a 60m player.

He was suggested at the start of the previous season as someone we liked and most people weren't convinced at a low price. He then had a good season with Atalanta and the expectations were he was the new Nedved.

I was happy when we signed him in terms of ability but my feelings were he was a 30m player, 40m at the very most given the market. Just now I wouldn't even want him starting and struggling to see how he can turn it around, certainly not in his current AM role.

D.G Kalulu McK Thuram Locatelli (even though he was at fault for the penalty), Mbangula is quite surprising and Yildiz is certainly better this year than the previous one.
But the gameplan is too much about over passing the ball than to actually try to do something with it.

Glad that he is at least being used in a more traditional CM role nowadays, although we’ve only seen rare glimpses of it i’m still sure there is probably a very good player somewhere in there but nonetheless it is quite remarkable how basic he currently plays and how bad his shots are, in hindsight the fact that we broke the bank for him and wasted almost a whole summer mercatto on is quite the head scratcher.

Not many are these days. I feel blessed being 43 yrs old as i was able to watch football from a young kid and see 25 years of talents like davids and seedorf. Many of us sit in this same boat.

Imagine being a young teen watching this juventus...they would be clueless as to how great juve was in the past.
