Thought he had a good game. Picked up space well, won the ball back and got up to support Vlahovic.

Took both offside goals well.
And then late on also sent about 60m in the sky another very good chance(that could have been the winning goal) when shooting completely unmarked from the edge of the box…

He's had a few of those left foot volleys which he has skied since joining. I'd say it was a harder chance than you are making out. He was running on to it and the ball is off the ground, it's not an easy hit to keep it down.

Wasn’t a walk in the park type of shot for an average player, but for €60M he should be doing much better with many of those chances that you’ve mentioned, including the one tonight.

Not giving up on him just yet at all though, think he is still a bit too rusty due to the injuries both in summer and more recently here.

For an attacking midfielder, he spends half his time on the sideline holding hands with the winger.

I don’t know if it’s part of the way Motta wants to play, but he’s rarely anywhere near the centre forward so there’s no link up play, the forward is isolated and as a result rarely touches the ball.

He had two offside goals from around the penalty spot and two volleys over the bar from just behind that around the middle of the goal. At the weekend he had a 1 v 1 pretty centrally.

He's making the right runs, drifting into space often from out wide as a starting point which makes him difficult to pick up.

His movement in and around the box when we have the ball in the final third is evidently good, and he’s a supremely intelligent player.

It’s more in relation to the positions he picks up when we’re building up that I’m referencing, which I think results in a lot of side to side and backwards possession with vertical passes through the lines feeling like a rarity. It could be tactical as I say.

He looked very slow, scored a couple of easy goals that didn't count so who cares, made some good passes but isn't worth anything near what we paid for him yet. Looks like stuff Maldini's son can do.

The way you guys talk about how he moves well and gets into space and is showing encouraging signs is like you are talking about a 19 year old hot talent signed for low fee and not a 26 year old 60m player.
