Not bad but I still won't trust him as a starting DM to pair with Thuram against a better side. On the defensive end he could be a disaster.

That said, nor do I trust Locatelli. To me the problem lies in the double pivot system. Why not try Koop-Loca-Thuram Mr. Tudor?

Teun Koopmeiners' game by numbers vs Atalanta:

- 90 minutes played
- 55/56 passes completed (98%)
- 5 passes into final third
- 1 chance created
- 2/2 tackles won (100%)
- 4 ball recoveries
Great transformation, If Milan have de De Bruyne Juve have Koop.
Igor has turned him to the prime Davids. From poop to koogoat.

3-5-2? thanks but no thanks, that's one attacker less. at least that chico, yildiz, david (kolo muani?) trio has potential up front, especially with joao mario at rwb

btw i agree, these midfielders would work better in a 3-man midfield. it is what it is, whatever tudor will do, it's gonna come with a trade-off too, and his 3-man backline is an automatic limitation. i guess koop and locatelli will fight for the same spot

I will be very happy if he starts instead of Locatelli
Might as well try it. Getting paid enough money so throw him in there for more offensive, progressive passing.

Going back to Loca's shooing stats vs Koopt.
Loca career stats in almost 25K minutes, 15 goals, 275 shots taken with 61 on target. Adding 25 assists.
Koop career stats in almost 25k, 74 goals, 354 shots taken with 134 on target. Also 33 assists.

I don't know soccer well but if I just looked at above comparison stats, Koop would start for me. Find someone else taking up the slack for Loca's defensive prowess. Matches start 0-0 so look to score first and less worry about defending. Not like Juve has been a scoring machine over last few years compared to other league teams.

F the goal differential with us allowing not many goals. Rather have 2-0 3-1 leads that hanging on for dear like leading 1-0. Unfortunately we don't have a backline of
:chiello::barza::leo:
Gave up a too many corners near end of yesterday's match. Good we were up 2-0.

Stats comparisons between players that didn't play the same position is well... pretty useless.

That said, Koop probably deserves a starting shirt in the next game after yesterday.

So true Koop and Loca not identical positions with Koop more forward positioned mid, but maybe you missed this? "Find someone else taking up the slack for Loca's defensive prowess." Maybe not possible. We could use more effective offense. Maybe with Juve teams of years ago, Loca playing as he does would be sufficient? Maybe it would work, maybe not. Anyway doubt Tudor will give up on Loca.

I didn't miss it. But... Our other midfielders aren't defensive either and aren't moving.

If we want more offensive power, we especially should start by playing more vertical from the back imo and field defenders with good passing skills and range. By the time we get the ball upfront, every team is organised already.

He’s not as boring or lifeless as Locatelli in that midfield role, but we surely didn’t spend €60m to have him shuffle around midfield filtering the ball and recycling possession.

He’s another one that will probably be gone (on a loan with option of course) at the end of the season. At least they’re trying to get rid of Giuntoli’s fuck ups.
