It’s baffling, 4 seasons later and after €60,000,000 spent.

The void is yet to be filled after Pjanic’s departure. Still not able to find a proper replacement, and we are still feeling the effects.

Should have never sell Bentancur to buy Locatelli... turns out Rodrigo is a better player.
we had to sell anyone with any market value because of ticiconomics, covid and uefa/figc witch hunt. so we sold kulu and bentancur. not that i miss either

and not that locatelli was remotely worth his transfer fee lol

and just imagine, that Bruno Guimaraes was available for similiar price to Locatelli in that transfer window...

Peer #Koopmeiners brother of Juventus player Teun, to Gianluca Di Marzio: "I'm just saying that people don't know what's happening at #Juve behind the scenes. I don't know everything either, but I can say that it's not easy"

- - - Updated - - -

HELD BACK BY THE PRICE OF THE CARD? - “I know his situation well and I have never failed to be close to him. Against Verona 10 days ago he then scored a wonderful goal. The reasons that pushed him not to celebrate? I don't know them but after the goal I saw him smile with his teammates. Having said that, Teun has many qualities and the esteem towards him was fully reiterated in the positive statements of Thiago Motta to the press. But my brother knows well that he has to give more and knowing him I can tell you that he is always very self-critical. Sooner or later his qualities will emerge”.

POOR PERFORMANCE COMPARED TO BERGAMO - “From the outside there is a lot of pressure given what it cost. But people often don't know what it means to change environment and have to adapt to new teammates, a new coach and a different style of play. And then in Turin he plays another role. People sometimes unfortunately underestimate all of this. But I can assure you that my brother wants to go back to being the player he was at Atalanta and help the team with goals and assists. I know how he is and I know that every single day he gives everything to go back to being decisive. It's really just a matter of time before he goes back to being the one from Bergamo... Sometimes a goal is enough to regain self-esteem. The team comes first but I'm sure that he will be an added value from now until the end of the championship”.

NO SPECIFIC ROLE - "That's what I always say. But it's the coach's decision, who is the only person I listen to. I pay little attention to the fans' chatter even though I know that it is the most important thing in a club. I'm just saying that people don't know what is happening at Juve behind the scenes. I don't know everything either but I can say that it's not easy. Now the important thing is that he finds his happiness again and the rest will come as a consequence".

FROM GASPERINI TO MOTTA - "I can't say anything also because I don't see them in training every day. And then I'm not interested in knowing everything about the Juve world. It's enough for me to know how my brother is. And then he and I don't just talk about football, but also about other things. I wish him the best in his career but in the end we are brothers and his personal well-being comes first. I love my brother but really... his relationship with the coach, with his club and his teammates are none of my business".

REGRET THE CHOICE? - "No, never. Teun is in love with Juve. As a brother I can tell you that I had never seen him so happy as in the photos he sent me on the day of the presentation. Unfortunately I couldn't be there on the day of the signing but his face spoke clearly: I had never seen such happiness on his face. His goal is to stay at Juve. We are talking about one of the biggest clubs in the world. He loves Italy and Juve and doesn't regret his choice even by a single percent".

The Words of Koopmeiners' Brother

HELD BACK BY HIS PRICE TAG? – “I know his situation very well, and I have always been there for him. Ten days ago, against Verona, he scored a wonderful goal. The reasons why he didn’t celebrate? I don’t know, but after the goal, I still saw him smiling with his teammates. That being said, Teun has many qualities, and the esteem for him has been fully reaffirmed in Thiago Motta’s positive statements to the press. But my brother knows he has to give more, and knowing him, I can tell you that he is always very self-critical. Sooner or later, his qualities will shine through.”

LOWER PERFORMANCE COMPARED TO BERGAMO – “From the outside, there’s a lot of pressure given how much he cost. But people often don’t realize what it means to change environments, adapt to new teammates, a new coach, and a different playing style. And then, in Turin, he plays a different role. Unfortunately, people sometimes underestimate all this. But I can guarantee you that my brother wants to get back to being the player he was at Atalanta and help the team with goals and assists. I know how he is, and I know that every single day, he gives everything to become decisive again. It’s really just a matter of time before he returns to the player he was in Bergamo… Sometimes, all it takes is one goal to regain confidence. The team comes first, but I’m sure he will be a key asset from now until the end of the season.”

NO SPECIFIC ROLE – “That’s what I always say. But it’s the coach’s decision, and he is the only person I listen to. I don’t pay much attention to fan chatter, even though I understand that they are the most important part of a club. I just say that people don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes at Juve. I don’t know everything either, but I can say it’s not easy. Right now, the most important thing is for him to find his happiness again, and the rest will follow.”

FROM GASPERINI TO MOTTA – “I can’t say anything because I don’t see them in training every day. And honestly, I’m not interested in knowing everything about the Juve world. I just care about how my brother is doing. Plus, he and I don’t just talk about football—we talk about other things, too. I wish him the best in his career, but in the end, we are brothers, and his personal well-being comes first. I love my brother, but really… his relationship with the coach, the club, and his teammates is none of my business.”

REGRETTING HIS CHOICE? – “No, never. Teun is in love with Juve. As his brother, I can tell you I had never seen him as happy as he was in the photos he sent me on the day of his presentation. Unfortunately, I couldn’t be there on the day he signed, but his face said it all: I had never seen such joy on his face before. His goal is to stay at Juve. We’re talking about one of the biggest clubs in the world. He loves Italy and Juve and doesn’t regret his choice, not even one percent.”

and then fans will blame the player

why are coaches obsessed with using players out of position? sarri thought everyone was a trequartista, allegri played any random player as a wingback, and now this lol
