Also, once again, there’s nothing dirty in what we are doing, if anything it’s Atalanta playing the victim despite having had an agreement with the player to let him go if a decent offer arrived, and what we are offering is already more than decent.
Agree. €50m is a fair price. Just as €30m for Soule was a fair price. If Chiesa goes to Inter for say €15m, now that's a dirty deal

They are only damaging themselves at this point as mid-range players may consider other destinations that wouldn’t block further progress if possible and some current players may be less inclined to tow the line with contract extensions.

We haven’t had a proper attacking midfielder since TrequartiStu.

Bro all transfers usually go through with some level of player will being involved, also plenty of examples that worked out just fine because as i said most transfers made by big clubs involve the player pushing for the move in one direction or the other, just that not all selling clubs come out crying like Atalanta is doing now, as if they are not still getting a huge fee of around €50M anyway…

Also Barca have been doing it even more lately since they are bankrupt, surprised that you talking about pre broke Barca when they did just that more recently during the last couple of years.
I think getting the will of the player and the player refusing to train are two different things. All clubs get the will of the player before contacting the selling club.
I dont remember any Barca target which has refused to train lately, the ones mentioned by me did it in the past, just like Koop.

I get your point, it obviously doesn’t always get to that stage despite the player in question forcing a move in the background but it is also as true that in each of those cases that involved the player refusing to train at some point to force a transfer had it’s own unique circumstances and dynamics, for example in our case with Koop it’s more about Atalanta not keeping their word towards the player himself to let him leave despite us coming close to their absurd initial request, which i doubt was ever the case for the other deals.

Different situations, but this reminds me a bit of the Emerson to Juve transfer. If I remember correctly he also refused to train with Roma anymore and even faked being sick.

Anyways, Koopmeiners would be a nice addition. He has qualities which we miss and more importantly we wouldn't need to start Locatelli and Fagioli.

Just hope there are still funds available to get some wingers and a defender.

Thing about it is that Atalanta are playing the victim and acting as if they were asking for €60M but we are only offering €30M or that there’s another team putting double that on the table but the player only wants to move to Juve despite Atalanta potentially losing out on a huge amount, which is not the case at all, they are just bitter and trying to milk as much as possible out of Juve specifically, because for them Juve is the enemy after all.

It will most obviously end with what Atalanta wants.
They might get it with the valuation of the added player but I doubt they will be getting 60M or even 55M

The thing with Chiesa is - Should we were told this a season ago - The majority of the forum would be against a Koop Chiesa trade and now we are dealing with 50M approximately and 15M on the other hand..

There is a player who does not appreciate the blessings he has. He does not strive to preserve them but instead tries to destroy them through random demands he does not deserve. He has only shown his love for the club through emotional posts, seeking sympathy from emotional fans.

On the other hand, there is a player who is willing to leave everything behind to join us. He has even shaken the core of Atalanta to force them to let him go. That says everything.

More sophisticated sayings are used:

You heard it from me first.

History proved me right.

I called this and you guys refused to listen.

Fuck you Paratici.
