You are forgetting one major factor here though... Allegri

Btw I still think Loca and Rabiot absolutely suck. Allegri or not. They just aren't good enough.
both rabiot and mckennie had some of their best seasons with allegri though

this current midfield is just limited and badly put together. i can see either rabiot or loca working in different setups. rabiot is actually one of the most physical midfielders around. with a pirlo/pjanic type of passer around him, he could excel. loca must play closer to the goal; his sassuolo years proved that he had potential as a progressive player contributing to attacks. playing as a regista and many times as a cb actually (yeah, check the heat maps, sometimes bremer played higher than loca lol) didn't benefit him too much. as for mckennie, i don't think he could be better than he was this season. this is the best time to cash in on him

Atalanta has gone full mental...

P.S Wouldnt be funny if Juventus prioritize getting Koop over Calafiori and end up getting none of them? :p:vdp:

Is there a reason we won't do Yildiz at the central attacking mid role behind the striker with two wingers on either side?

Yildiz is an attacker and Motta this far in his managerial career has preferred to play with at least three midfielders on the pitch. So the reason in short is probably balance.

Motta isn't a full force attacking maniac. He loves possession not only to create chance, but also to prevent opponent to create ones. That's why he prefer his midfielder trio to be balance in physical and technical. To get the ball back as soon as possible.
Some reason why if we failed to get koop i don't think we will go for samardzic.

this time the problem is that motta and giuntoli allegedly want to build the team around koopmeiners, so not being able to sign him would be a failure even before the new project started

btw this is just talk. koopmeiners said months ago that he wanted to move on.

It's a big enough risk to spend such a sum on him, but to build the team around him in such a way that he is irreplaceable? Doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

If they don,t want a little less than 60m then they can fuck off and we should stop investing in Serie A.

from light green he's now at yellow.
