Why do we really care, afterall it's all up to how he plays. If he is good it's doesn't matter for me if it's 50 or 60m. We had so many bad transfers for 10-15m which were actually money flushed down the toilet that it doesn't matter.

my worry here is that juve's gotten burnt by several of these expensive deals from serie a clubs in last few seasons. berna, , locatelli, kulusevksi. not to mentions ones from outside serie a like kean and arthur.

my point here is the track record isn't very positive and thats what worries me. from all the big money moves in last 7-9 seasons from serie a only bremer and dybala, pjanic and argubaly higuain were good deals. rest have been failures.

I heard Gasperini wants guarantees that his best players are not sold this summer. No more rebuilding and that means no selling this one summer. Keeping Koop, Scamacca, Ederson and Lookman.. Surely they will be able to replace Koop, they have replaced their best players for years now, but I wonder if Gasperini has had enough. I think that's why they stand firm on €60m, which is a very high figure for him. I don't see us spending that amount at all. I think €40m in installments + a player is the attempt and if they dont bite, we will change to other targets

On current form, Poopmeiners is probably the best mid in the league so I can see why Atalanta are crazy with their valuations.

But I think the other Atalanta mid, Ederson is who we should actually be looking at. We don't have a player of that profile in our squad right now.

It is overpriced and we will suffer badly financially if he flops.
If he fits in well though, he could elevate your midfield by a lot, so I’m kinda torn about this transfer.

yup. we need a engine dm who does the dirty work and is tireless in midfield because we don't have a player like that since matuidi and vidal. he's not spectacular but he does a lot of work in midfield. would compliment fagioli and arthur very well.
