Again missiles on either end are a problem. I dont particularly buy the dualistic outlook on the conflict, though the US is laudable for its personal freedoms record(most of the time at least). But one has to admit that the balance of power the soviets provided stabilized world politics. it's kind of like our justice system with its adversarial processes.

ok.....

lets say I have an "informant", who gives me some info about a certain house being used as a major supplier of crack for the entire area.

Lets also state that we've used this informant before, and he's been spot on every time

so, we have some of our guys do some surveillance, and verify the fact that there is major traffic going in and out of there...

we have the informant do some "buys" from the house, and he produces the goods

We get a search warrant, and go in at dawn, breaking down the door, and storming in !!

Then, to our surprise, it turns out that the person living there is a pastor (or something like that) for the Jehova's witnesses, and the traffic going in and out was their followers getting more pamphlets they use to go door to door (and annoy the shit outta ppl !!)

Now, do you blame ME, for acting on information given to me, that was also verified by surveillance...do you blame surveillance, for what they saw, or do you blame the informant, for lying his ass off ???

Believe me, the above situation has happened in the past
