as in nine inch nails? Can't say I've ever heard any of their stuff but the sorta p[eople that like them are the sort of people that like slipknot, korn, nirvana etc, so I always assumed thats what they were also.

I assumed that too, but I saw theyre headlining the Global Gathering in Miami and thought that was weird

vinni eh, is that not short for vincent?

You might as well tell me more tunes that you'd like in a mix because then i dont have to bother searching for tunes i like. That goes for everyone else too.

Fabi, i've heard James zabiela live, he was brilliant! He was number 13 in the djmag top 100 list recently. That was a crazy night! we were all in fancy dress because it was halloween and the club was infact a boat, which went round the solent for a few hours. The sea was really rough and i was really drunk so i was getting sick over and over again- I forgot that i hate being at sea- one of the problems when you start drinking from 6pm and the party doesn't start till 11! but i still had a fine time with my sombrero on! everytime i'd leave it somewhere, the friendly pill-heads would come and give it to me - my cuban / mexican style shirt gave the game away. Everyone was soo nice on there, allways asking if i was alright because they knew i was getting sick.

There you go fab, i bet all you wanted to hear was, "yes i've heard zabiela before" and thats it. Another piece of the puzzle that is Greg's weird and wonderful life

Lol thats a nice story! It probably was too much being drunk, plus the moving sea, plus Zabiela's music. But he does know how to make a great party

Who has seen Paul van Dyk in the current Politics of Dancing v2 tour? I know Elnur has- could someone tell me how was it? Is it just stuff from that cd or does he play old stuff too?

No way man. Nothing like those guys. Its difficult to explain. I made a House mix for some kids a few nights ago. Mostly Oakenfold and some Tiesto, but I tossed in a few NIN tracks. Apparently it goes together nicely. You should check em out. I dont think they are truly dance music but they are still nice.

I have a quick question. Why do you guys like this sort of music? And I'm not trying to be sarcastic or anything..

I live outside of Washington DC in somewhat rural Pennsylvania, and I don't ever recall hearing such music on the radio or even seeing anything about such performers on television. Not to mention the fact the only people I know who are into such music are you lot, and Fabiana was the first person to actually introuduce it to me.

Back in middle school I liked groups such as Prodigy and Chemical Brothers, however I seriously did not hear of musicians such as Tiesto and Morino until a few months ago. Strange really.
It's not your fault. Well kinda. But America's biased. They like to censor music. But the funny thing is, house (original house) and techno (real techno) were born in America. Breakbeat was born in America. In fact, electronic music has much due to African-American's, most of whom ironically generalize "techno" to the Europeans. But all the Europeans did, was just captialize on this beautiful genre, glorify it and then, to some extent exploit it.

What do you guys think about James Zabiela? I saw him live last week and he was pretty cool. His music was a bit too "dark" for my taste but I still had a great time. He's just 24

And for you Americans, Sasha is doing a 'residence' tour in some nightclubs in different cities these few upcoming months :)

You saw Zabiela??? And it was only 'cool'!!! That little blondie is simply majestic behind cdjs! He's so damn good, that Pioneer invites him to their engineering offices to help develop and improve their CDJ gear, their mixers and their EFX processors. His Utilities CD last year was pretty damn hot too.

    .............

Well I managed to get Holden's new album last night, and it is simply amazing. Very different from Balance 005, but its Holden all the way through. Trippy as hell. Ranges a lot in genres too. Here's the TL:

    Plastikman - Cor Ten

Just listened to your mix tom, quality as usual, i'll have to steal some of those tunes for my next mix.

btw are you still going to godskitchen next week? Unfortunately i'm not because my mates aren't really up for it. Also Jules is on at 4.45 am - a little late for me lol. PvD is on at 1 - 3.30am - good set time

cheers mate, really enjoyed some of the tunes on your latest ones as well.

Its looking doubtful to be honest, only 3 of us were up for it anyway and one of them has pulled out at the thought of having to spend £30 on tickets

The other is permanently skint due to his ridiculous wheelings and dealings on e-bay. It'll take a miracle to be fair. We're defo defo going global though, bought the tickets already. You should get your arses down there for sure :smoke:

Global is soo expensive though, and very far from me - for the price of ticket and travel i could prob go to amsterdam for some crazy fun.

Btw Tom have you got a big list of house tunes on your computer by any chance - i want to make a new mix and your suggestions are allways good
