Tardelli: Juve silenced me
Marco Tardelli has revealed the reasons for his sudden resignation from the Juventus Board of Directors.
“I wanted to change some things and express my ideas, but they did not let me and so I decided to quit,” explained the 1982 World Cup winner.
He had been named among the new Board of Directors after the Calciopoli scandal pushed out the famous ‘Triade’ of Luciano Moggi, Roberto Bettega and Antonio Giraudo.
Tardelli is said to have been responsible for the complete departure of Bettega, who still had a consultancy contract with the club before his protests.
Former Under-21 and Inter boss Tardelli is currently in Holland commentating on the European Championships.
Italy have had a shaky start to the competition, losing 1-0 to Serbia and fighting back from 2-0 down to draw with England.
“We didn’t play very well against England and overall I think the draw was the right result,” said the Coach who won this tournament in 2000.
“I do believe that Italy were unlucky with Serbia, as they dominated and lost to the only shot on goal their opponents had.”

It does not concern me that tardelli has opted to resign his post. He has had a negative attitude throughout his tenure. However, his comments are cause for concern.
I have never given anything but blind support to our new managers, as I understand that they were thrown together quickly to lead us at a delicate time when we were a club quite possibly facing total collapse. They have succeeded in getting us to Serie A, and that is major, but I now find myself questioning the competence of our Cobolli, Secco and Blanc. Are they in over their heads?
We were spoiled by some 12 years of fantastic, deadly efficient management, which in the end became corrupted by the power they built. So it would be unrealistic to expect that type of success immediately. But when tardelli says that he had to sugggest Ranieri as coach it make me wonder what ideas Cobolli came up with on his own. And I have serious doubts right now about the coming transfer campaign.

Believe me, Pado, these same questions have been running through my mind ever since Deschamps left. Now after Tardelli leaves Juventus because the rest of the board would not allow him to express himself, just like Didier, there is obviously something up.
First it was Deschamps stating his ideas were not respected, then it was Trezeguet who received a ridiculous contract offer, and now it's Tardelli stating that nobody on the board respected his views. How could any Juventus fan in their right mind think that everything is running smoothly at this club? These aforementioned players are all Juventus legends and they claim they're being disrespected. So who the fuck are you people going to believe? Juventus legends that have served this club for years, or people who have been appointed with nothing more than the experiance of managing a tennis tournament under their belt?

I'm going to give Ranieri a chance before I start calling him "Ruineri" as he's a respectable person, unlike complete cunts such as Fabio Capello. The latter might be a better manager but I'd rather have someone who is true to his players and his club before someone who shits all over the sidelines. Not to mention the fact that Ranieri was hired by this management... it wasn't his fault he was chosen, so could we perhaps stop insulting him before he's even an actual acting Juventus employee?
Same here man! I am trying to tell these for weeks. I won't ask their sportive success immediately, that crazy. But at least they should bring consistency to the club. They need to have a plan, and stick with it, and not change that plan every while.

iam not saying what is right and what is wrong only time will tell u that, cause i dont know the circumstances, but as far as coach goes i dont think he was that great of a tactician
.. As far as experience of coaching at this level Ranieri is a seasoned coach and if you can lead a Parma out of termoil iam sure he can lead a Juve back to the top!

That is not what I meant. I think that Ranieri has more of a say now that Tardelli is gone and Bettega will soon follow. I think the reason for DD to resign was that he wanted several players that the board didn't want but now the technical duo of the board is gone... I think Rani has a bigger say in who to get more then DD anyway
