I got many Iraqian friends, thankfull for the US, So I don't see why Bush should be bashed here. Though am not sure If you were talking about his personality or his political way.

There is no doubt that the middle east has its problems, although I am a muslim and know that the middle east represents a muslim community, I am not blinded by the fact that they have issues.
But I doubt that the issues are tottally endangering the planet. You have to look at the bigger picture.
Yes the middle east contains many dictatorship and some are bad but the US is really exploiting this opportunity for their own gain in the name of bringing peace. I am fully convinced that it is a matter of OIL. The US are really dependant on the oil that comes out of that region, and it would be in the interest of the US to have some control over it.
Alot of iraqians have died since the war ended and most are civilians. Of course they are thankful but if you asked them I doubt that they would really want the US to be involved. The US realeasing them IMO basically means they get the better options out of the worst available. And please dont get carried away with your words, I am not Bashing Bush, and calling him arrogant is nowhere bashing.
And "New WOrld Order" ? Who sounds like the dictator now?

Just remember that whatever Bush does is in the interest of the US, dont begin to sound like Bush's actions are doing the world a huge favor. If Bush was really concerned about the world, he would have signed the Kyoto treaty which really would be bad for the US economy.

I wouldn't say fully per se. But no question we wouldn't be there at all if not for U.S. energy interests. If this was an African nation, you could hear the yawns in the White House echo around the world.

The truth is probably more of a mixture of about 1 part well intentions towards the Iraqis, 5 parts interest in potentially stabilizing the Middle East with some democracy (as misguided as those efforts might be), and 9 parts economic interest (i.e., energy supply stability concerns).

Just remember that whatever Bush does is in the interest of the US, dont begin to sound like Bush's actions are doing the world a huge favor. If Bush was really concerned about the world, he would have signed the Kyoto treaty which really would be bad for the US economy.

I ment fully convinced that the main reason(part) is for oil.

yes a competitive disadvantage is what I consider a bad thing. the US would need to cut down pollution to meet the quota given to them while China I think still have space to grow until they meet their quota.
But this treaty would ultimately be fair to the world as each nation should be responsible for their pollution.
