For me, I really hope he changes his ways this season as playing the same way we did last season will surely get us nowhere. We managed to win despite playing badly last year because we were up against inferior teams however, we can't play like that in the C.L.

With Giovinco around, I think Ranieri should try giving him a more free role in midfield rather than confine him on the left wing. He should play right behind the strikers as a traquerista. Unfortunately, Ranieri has never used that type of formation and he would probably go for the dull 4-2-2-2 formation with no creativity or attacking flair whatsoever.

what??? we were unbeaten against the big teams!!! Our problem was that we couldn't beat the smaller teams

And the victories that came against the small teams came from individual efforts rather than tactical excellence. We didn't play well against the small teams in general which is why we struggled against them. Our biggest problem was our lack of creativity, we just couldn't penetrate their defenses witth the ease Roma or Inter could.

We beat the big teams because of the players' determination and grit, not because of free-flowing football that tore our opponents apart. We can't rely on magical moments from Alex, Camo, or Nedved to be competitive this year.

We need to add creativity to out formation. I believe Giovinco could be the right man if employed correctly.
