Of course it has been used in individual games.

What I meant was that Ranieri has never chosen to play a back three in his career, as far as I recall. He has always preferred a back four.

back 3? with the current team I would suggest:

Buffon

Mellberg - Andrade - Chiellini

Camoranesi - Zanetti - Sissoko - Tiago - Nedved

Trezeguet - Del Piero (c)

Buffon

Mellberg Andrade Chiellini Molinaro

Camoranesi Sissoko Poulsen Nedved/Giovinco

Trezeguet Amauri/Del Piero

This is how I think the start line will look like , I’d prefeer De Ceglie instead of Molinaro and Marchisio instead of Poulsen , but I don’t think Ranieri agrees . If andrade dosen’t get back into shape mellberg will take canter place and grygera right I think.

i think juve will start like this

----------------------------------buffon--------------------------------------

-------------------mellberg----------------chiellini--------------------------

-----grygera----------------------------------------------------molinaro (sorry)

----------------------sissoko------------poulsen----------------------------

-----camoranesi-------------------------------------------giovinco/nedved--

--------------------------------------------del piero------------------------

---------------------------trez/ amauri-------------------------------------

sorry to be unimaginative, but i really think this is how we well start most of the time. of course italian football means a lot of tactics so it will change a lot, but this is it really.

Nope, this isn't going to work. Camoranesi and Nedved will have to do too much back-tracking and defending. This will also cause us to be important in attack because of what I said in my previous sentence.

Poulsen would have to win a place in the team I think. As of now Zanetti is the starter in Mid with Momo. Zanetti has played very well and earned Ranieri's trust. Poulsen, if he comes with be given his chances but wont be a starter right away.

I would guess the team will be:

Del Piero/Amauri------Iaquinta/Trez

Nedved-----Zanetti-----Momo-------Camo

Molinero---Chiellini----Andrade----Zebina

------------------Buffon

I'd like to see something like that in Juve. 3 defenders and 2 Defencive midfielers in front of them to defend and push up when they can(all our defenders except molinaro can play in a three man defence). One player like Tiago (this is exactly Tiago's job. in Lyon he took the ball and passed it to Juninho) in front of them to take the ball and pass quickly to the wingers and defend when he should. 2 good wingers who will take the ball from our 3 midfielers. All the Wingers we have (Except Sali maybe) have creativity and can play as playmakers. And 2 strickers in front that will have 5 men supporting them when we attack...

This will be just perfect i think and i would like to see it in juve very much with the players we have right now. The secret in this is that the 3 midfielers should run a lot cause they must defend some times and attack some others. Tiago, Sissoko and Poulsen if I am not mistaken are players who can ran...

According to my opinion this will be just perfect. Plus we don't need Molinaro   . We have 2 players in every position for something like this...

I am going str8 now to start a game in FM to see if it works:p :p :p :p

In this system we can use De Ceglie as a winger...

yea that's why I got Zanetti and Sissoko who can help the back 3 in covering the gaps, with Tiago given the free role
