When we want to build a strong defense, we need to take a look at her as a whole.
We cant expect from two of our players to play as good as four players, that was the case this year and thats why our defense sucked so much!

Chiellini did very well as a CB, but he also did very well as an LB too, almost as good as Zambro, his stamina, pace and cross are wasted in the center, if we have plenty of decent alternatives in the center, then we could use his help on our severely exposed left flank.
De Ceglie is too young and Molinaro is too useless to cope in CL games and derbies.
If we want to keep Chiellini in the center, we should bring in a decent starter LB, otherwise i see Chiellini to be forced to cover our need in that side, as he was forced to cover our needs in the center this year.
This year both our flanks and center needed reinforcement and we chose Chiellini to strengthen the most important one,the center, next year two reliable CBs will be available, but our left flank seems to be as exposed as it was this year...

can grosso play in the right? cuz i dont think chiellini can.

he is not a fast guy and he is left legged (how do u say that in english:faq2: ), putting him in the right wont be good for him...look at the chiellini VS kaka this year in the first goal of milan(pippo).

ill quote a reply from another forum im in.

chiellini needs to move to the LB for only one reason- its easier to get a CB at this time, there are a lot available, but the are no good LBs on the market!

Neither Grosso nor Chiellini can play on the right. Left footed or left sided tends to be used rather than left legged.

I find it astonishing that we have one of the best young CBs in Europe and people want to play him LB.

I'm one of those "pro" playing chiellini as LB for one reason (we don't have bitter options). We have mellberg next season and from what i've seen from him (sweden games) he's very decend CB, andrade is a class CB but he needs to get fit for next season. We allready have a very decent CB's, so its wiser to use chiellini as a LB (unless we sign a class LB this summer and i don't think that will happen).......

We will sign a LB and that will enable us to keep Chiellini in the centre.

Buffon
Zebina Andrade Chiellini De Silvestri
Camoranesi Sissoko Xabi Giovinco
Trezeguet Del Piero
(Amauri)

I just got multiple orgasms...:melayyanandmessi:
De Silvestri is a RB.

Our whole team was getting raped by a bunch of Chinamen last week. These friendlies don't really mean much.
Of course they mean jack shit, tho dosent mean a player of his exerience and quality still getting ripped time and time again by a move that simply pushes the ball across him and running round him.
