I want to see Camoranesi given more freedom up the pitch instead of just being tied down on the right side of midfield. With two holding midfielders, this should be fine defensively as long as we pressure and have most of the possession.

He's such a good attacking player but we often sacrifice some of his creativity to protect our flaws, & RB has been a major weakness for us for sometime now. Camo spends most of his time bailing out Zebina rather than pushing on & making goals for Trez.

well i think the Inter game showed us alot regards to our main tactic this season, sad for some i have a feeling its going to be the 442. Something i dont mind really as long as we mix it up a bit with the personnel and not just stick with the same players.

Also the wingers should have more freedom and some interchanging between one of the forwards and the wingers won't harm.

If we can have that with some decent play from our full backs then there shouldn't big issues with the 442 imo. Ofcourse every game is different but generally thats what i think ranieri i thinking about.

I think we only played that way to match up with Inter. We went into the game as massive underdogs & the point was well earned, we played with a provincial mentality. I think it'll probably be back to the same 4-3-3 as previous weeks now.

our main tactic is the 4-4-2 which I sincerely dislike after the Crapello-era.
but Ranieri has result so he is right
I would have loved a 4-3-3 as this is far more exciting but you need balls to do this in serie A and most of the managers lack them

But I love 4-3-3 as well, being from Holland where this is our traditional way of playing. However, the difference between Ranieri's 4-3-3 and the Dutch version, is the Dutch version is played with wingers, like Robben or Overmars back in the days, while Juve doesn't really have any. Nedved and Camo might be, but i consider them more running mids, playing directly in front of the full-backs.

You couldnt be more right, our 4-3-3 is still too defensive, even with Iaquinta as one of the front three, he is a striker not too dissimilar to Del Vecchio who worked back & helped the midfield. To be honest ours is still really 4-5-1, while Ajax play a true 4-3-3 copied with much success by Mourinho at Chelsea, with Robben/Duff/Cole/SWP as the creative wingers needed to fully benefit the system. Ironically this method frees space in midfield despite leaving the team undermanned (4 v 3) as the full backs are occupied, as are both CB's by a busy powerful forward (Drogba for example) meaning CM players can ghost into the box & score plenty of goals from unmarked positions (Lampard?)

yes Lyon used that same system under Houllier..4-3-3 with 2 wingers and one recognized striker..my favorite system..i wish Arsenal played that way..but we too like juve dont really have the players to play a "dutch" 4-3-3.

Yes Arsenals system is based more on passing & movement (the old Liverpool system) than anything with wide attacking pace, esp since the departure of Henry, Pires & Ashley Cole

exactly..sometimes a little bit too narrow..i'd like to see us try "Milans" 4-4-2 once though..maybe in the Fa Cup...the midfield would be something like this

Toulalan is more a deep sitting midfielder who distributes the ball..ala Pirlo.

I know, I just dont like seeing 3 midfielders who have the same thing in common. Marchisio can come forward and attack then go back to defend whereas Nocerino always stays back and closes down while Toulalan can just distribute the ball to the players. If Nasri's having a bad day on the pitch and can't seem to do anything, Toulalan will do the passing and distributing

There are remarkably few genuine wingers in football these days. It used to be that every club would have at least one, but more teams are relying on wing back to provide width nowadays.

Marchionni is the only real winger at Juve just now.
