Palladino has been one of the best players (if not the best) with his playing time this season, he is going nowhere and deserves a chance next season.
I agree. After his last two performances I too beleive he should stay. If Trezeguet stays, we will need to sign a striker anyways. I like Pizarro of Bayern, because he will be a free transfer.

Would prefer Pizarro to Saviola but I'm not convinced about either. Would rather our current four strikers stayed.

Pizzaro, Palladino, Del Piero and motivated Trezeguet will be enough for next season.

Other departments need strengthening, as you said previously.

Do you have in mind their wages? Pizzaro would be a free transfer with wages that would be bigger than Bojinov, Zala and Palladino together. Besides what are we gonna do with 6 forwards? We don't need Pizzaro unless we sell Trez.

What if Trezeguet gets injured? DP? Zalayeta will have to play a backup role. We don't NEED them, but we will have no trouble affording them IMO. I would like to try and guard for a disaster. Prepare for the worst, but expect the best.

6 forwards is too much, it's not if two of them are like Zalayeta and don't mind sitting on the bench. What if neither DP or Trez get injured? Pizzaro would never accept a bench role. We're having trouble rotating the 5 forwards we have now and it's obvious DD is not too keen on a rotation system.

I dont think that Pizzaro would fill Trezi's huge shoes. If we let Trezi go then we will need someone that could do the job as good as he did,and i dont think that pizzaro is the one.

We could have the same line up as this season and i would be satisfied.

Trezi,Alex,Palladino and Boji will be our main strikers and Zalayeta would just provide an extra option. As we can't just have one big striker.

I think we need to sign someone who can sub, or share time with Trezeguet. I beleive that Palladino is better off as a SS, in a DP role. In Serie A, we will need a better set of CF's to compete. Potential and Promise is nice, but it is not a solution for success. Palladino has shown great promise, but I would hate to have all my chips in his basket.

I agree completelly, the best option upfront is to keep things as they are. Trez & DP the first line of attack, Palladino & Bojinov the second, with Zalayeta filling up the blanks. Pizzaro is good, he can score a lot of goals, plus he would come for free, still I don't think he's good enough to replace Trezeguet. If anyone's ideal for that part, IMO, it's Klose, Toni also but I prefer Klose.

I think Bojinov can be that, like I said before, he's not a direct replacement for Trez but he can hold his own in a box striker role or a support striker. Palladino and Bojinov could very well be our next lethal duo in the future. The key is to utilise them now and give them their fair chances, something which DD is not doing so far, at least with Bojinov.

I agree with that Vlatko. Although it is hard for me to discredit DD for his tactics. He has a job to with Juventus and I am sure he is concerned with keeping his. Bojinov could do it next year, but there is a lot more certainty in a guy like Pizarro. I have no problems letting someone ride the bench if Bojinov gets the job done. The only problem is that the fans of the one riding the bench will see it as unfair. I say, bring in Pizarro. If Bojinov isn't cutting it sit him for a later date. If he is, then let Pizarro ride the pine. Either way, with Trez here and healthy, playing time will be scarce. I prefer Bojinov, but wouldn't hesitate to bring in a good striker on free transfer.

BTW, if we had to replace Trez we would need to buy a player like Toni or Klose. Trez is one of the top strikers in the world. Hard to replace.

I hope to god Palla keeps on improving as he could be a dangerous option fo us next season, the only question is our total lack of pace.

Correct me if im wrong, but Boji is possibly our quickest and most complete forward.

    *excluding the captain.

And Saviola, you guys prefer him over Pizarro or not?
He is also available for free.
He could also be a good backup for next season.
