If Pereyra is able to play as an AM this would be huge for us. But I really doubt it. From the little I've seen he looks like the perfect sub for Vidal, a good CM, but not an AM at all.

So considering Vidal and Pogba are staying; that Marrone, Sorensen, Motta will be loaned out and De Ceglie stay; and that Marotta will sign a 5th striker (like Gilardino or some shit) and a CB (like Zapata) the complete squad would have basically the sole option of keeping the 352.
The starting team would be the same. 352, with Evra as a likely starter.
The backup team - 352: Storari - Caceres, Savic/Zapata, Ogbonna - Romulo, Asamoah - Padoin, Pereyra, Marchisio - Giovinco/Coman, Morata.
De Ceglie, Pepe, 5th striker as fringe players.
The biggest difference is clearly the huge improvement on the quality of the backup WBs; and the addition of Pereyra, greatly increasing depth. I also like much more Morata fighting for a starting spot than washed up Vucinic/Quagliarella/Osvaldo.
IF Coman turns out to be the promising player we all think, as an SS, then the squad is vastly improved in terms of rotation for the 352.
However, still missing the biggest priority, which is having the players who could field a 433, 4231, 4312, etc.
If our 352 fails to succeed, doing the huge previsibility and players being washed up with it, we're kind of lost.

Now, from the starting team, ageing is really worrisome.
Buffon - 37 in january.
Licht - 31 in january.
Barzagli - just had his 33th birthday
Chiellini - 30 in 12 days.
Pirlo - just completed 35.
Tevez - will be 31 in february.
Llorente - will be 30 in february.
In 6 months, 7 of 11 starting players will be 30 or 30+. Wowa.
