American sport's quintessential moment in the sun is upon us, sadly I wont be joining my brethren fans that will be making the trip down south. however i will be celebrating with degenerate exuberance and shall da bears win it i have made arrangement for four delectable "catins" to stop over for a proper defilement.
in case you dont understand the above and have little or no interest in pigskin ponder the following: ever seen a Bear fuck a horse?

Why are we so blessed?

"XLI"? Roman numerals, is that what they officially use? Isn't that a little communist?

I've seen a bear eat a horse, if that counts.

Slightly more serious: it was on TV in this country a few years ago but they cancelled it due to severe lack of enthusiasm so I have no chance of watching it even if I do find it slightly hilarious :D

actually whats really hilarious are the 2 weeks leading up to the superbowl... on a personal level this is really huge can barely remember the last ime they did it, i can only think of two sportive events that could supercede it: cubs going to the world series and juve winning the CL. as for you watching it i would invite you over but i suspect you'd be a bit annoying with questions like "why are they wearing helmets?"

There might very well be some truth to that, I'm as subjective as they come. I can only watch sports that I've actually enjoyed playing myself

Super Bowl game usually sucks, Grey Cup* rocks! :D

Anyway there's a far more important game the same day just before that crappy game.

Pittsburgh Penguins and Sid "The kid who's a whining little pussy" vs the Montreal Canadians(team of Liverpools next owner George Gillet) LIVE at the Bell Center.

I predict a major brawl between both teams. Don't miss it!!! :p

It's actually pretty Roman if you asked me. ;)

God, I hate the Super Bowl. The two-week media circus leading up to the game. (Just shut up and play already, dammit!)

The match where it's so expensive to get in that the stands are packed with wanker politicians, businessmen, and deal-makers .... many of whom could give a rat's ass about the two teams playing ... while all the die hard fans can't as easily attend (can't access tickets, can't afford tickets, and/or can't afford to travel). (Btw, I hate this about the neutral site CL final as well.)

It's played in some warm weather site at random (this is American football, a winter sport, right??) so it's nice and cushy and oh-so-appropriately "fair weather" for all the fair weather fans.

It's dominated by TV commercial blitzes and flabby half-time performance shows that made Bart Simpson utter in legend, "Where's the snipers?!?!"

And the match is usually a poor facsimile of sport, often lopsided, often dwarfed by all the garbage that surrounds it.

It's basically amateur night for football fans. The sport sells its soul to Carrot Top to do lame commercials and entertain all those who really don't like the sport.

Oh, I will still watch it though...I have to pull for my hometown Bears, even if I don't believe the odds are in their favor.

But if this is the Super Bowl, give me the Bat Bowl instead, please.
