Do you know what Torricelli did before joining Juve?
So after watching gatti for two seasons at juventus including him scoring an own goal vs mighty relegated sassuolo, you are comparing him to Torricelli.

You watched two seasons of gatti and decided yes this is acceptable replacement for chiellini and Barzgli.

If a top club can sign 8 goalies then we can sign a 4th goalie too.
Chelsea has money. Juventus asks players to take pay cuts and skip bonuses. Big difference

You and I both know he was getting his money back from Fagioli with that own goal.
Do you know how many proud jjtini's wake up in the morning and say the foundation brick of my home was laid by Federico Gatti? The Cat himself? Why are you hating on a family member?

7 - squad improved and a new needed coach that has already shown progress.

Some sales were underwhelming and some sales failing drops the grade.

The new players may do good or may be a flop. We'll see how it fares

9 to me - I do not rate sales. The only missing part was that ball playing defender, I know Guintoli will have some regrets and thus will get us a good one next time, either January or summer

Can we all rate Lion’s mercato trolling

4th GK: 4/10. No explanation necessary

Bricklayer captain: 0/10 Has nothing to do with the mercato

Random Giuntoli bashing: 3/10. Had a couple of good weeks with this when ‘Toli was struggling, but our boy Lion had to eat humble pie at the end of the mercato.

Chiesa flip-flopping: Lion would flip his opinion every day on this. 2/10.

Overall rating: 2/10

A solid 8. The long wait is over; we have a management again (now for a sponsor...) and a new cycle has finally started.

A near complete overhaul of the squad has been made this summer and it's difficult to argue much more could've been done. We've already taken a risk with a boatload of downpayments in future years.

+ ALL lines of the team are reinforced. Insane accomplishment with our current budget while also lowering the wage bill and the age of the team drastically.
+ 4th goalie costing us only 2 mil extra this season.
+ Massive midfield upgrades while weeding out the expensive turd Rabiot was.
+ Some much needed creativity and wingplay added upfront.
+ Thiago Motta
+ Setting up the NextGen for optimal use and using them as width.

- Missing out on Calafiori hit us (Todibo not so much)
- Bit of overspending on some players (Nico and Koop) but that is tovbe expected when you have to spread the costs over a gazillion years.
- Not finding a solution for Arthur or Kostic (yet). Also not a big surprise here; Tici's waste will keep biting us in the back 'till their contracts are done.
- Not being able to lower Vlahovic' contract for now but that can be done at any time. Rather sooner than later...

All-in-all a lot of work done and ofc still much to be done in future windows. Let's not get carried away and slap huge expectations on this team. The major goal is CL qualification again in order to regain financial stability. That shouldn't be a problem 'tho. Getting through the first CL stage too obviously and I guess a trophy of some sort would be nice.

4th GK: 9/10. Generated so much engagement. Doesn't matter whether it was -ve or +ve.

Bricklayer captain: 7/10 Clever play on why we missed out on Calafiori while spending 20m on 4th goalie & have to play Cats.

Random Giuntoli bashing: 5/10. I'll give a 5 since he believes we are a big club. Misplaced expectations. Drink you jjtini koolaid loin.

Chiesa flip-flopping: 6/10. His cat senses picked up something on Chiesa very early but since he's an old cat he couldn't quite place it right.

Overall rating: 6.75/10

What's actually the best is that there is no usual stop gap solution in this squad. All the players are in their prime or young and can easily play for next 5 years.

you can't consider rabiot a plus when he was offered a contract but he turned it down.

juve didn't let him go.
It is. Him being offered a contract he didn't deem good enough even makes it sweeter seeing him unemployed now.

Yes, DEF! Forgot to add that. Edited it in.

Team of 7.5

Negative:
- Selling Huijsen and Soule under value(ridiculous price, at lower price than the actual value).
- Losing Calafiori, Giuntoli gave up on this deal, he could have pulled off the deal but he bet on Todibo and failed miserably.
- Still don't know about Chiesa saga

Positive:
- getting rid of Rabiot(he was so dumb to not accept Giuntoli offer)
- Bringing Thuram, Cabal, Koopmeiners, Conceição, González, Mbangula and Di Gregorio, that is a massive upgrade and also boost the squad. We signed last season best GK, exciting midfielders and Wingers & LB/CB.
the lack of talented attacking midfielder was feeling before the Mercato, Koopmeiners would provide some of those missing pieces.
Thuram can play as DM and also deep lying playmaker.
Cabal and Mbangula have been shown solid perform.

I just don't understand how do u guys expect Giuntoli to conclude the Calafiori deal. He went for 45m, we wouldn't be able to buy Koop if we signed him.
