I mean all things considered with population, football is still quite a big sport in China, they were serious about making the NT an Asian force again, but along with covid which effectively ended governement funding and companies which owned these Chinese clubs like Suning and Evergrande had to cut cost and first thing they did was effectively fold the club, and now these teams have been renamed completely the whole thing failed.
There are similarities but Saudis seem to have gone the extra mile. Remains to be seen if they collapse like the Chinese league.

For example:

Government funding with PIF taking ownership of top clubs, unlike CSL which was privatised and heavily reliant on the property market.

Broadcasting deals, Saudis 2030 vision they've paid up yours get lots of marketing in place as well as tv deals. Other sports, boxing, ufc , is creating an image of Saudi being a location to host. Then theres brand, Ronaldo fan boys along with benzema and others really attracting a high following of the rsl clubs, unlike anything seen with CSL clubs.

Infrastructure spending, crazy amounts spent on new stadiums prior world cup, they've similarly to csl spent a lot on grassroots football, internationally their NT tends to make the world cup regularly and clubs winning the Asian champions league as a foundation helped.

Real question is whether its sustainable. I don't think it is, the astronomical wages might be an attraction but i think it could be their downfall too. Also they are a corruption scandal away from collapsing, which is one of the demise of CSL, for now though the bigger powers FIFA and co are happy.

That's why AndreaCristiano won't receive negative points for Retegui
How about + points though? Because 2 days later he predicted the opposite and got it right. What the rules would say if that was Juve related transfer?
For example your inside sources tells you David is not joining Juve and you guru out that prediction, but then a few days later you get the hot scoop of news from even deeper inside sources that he is joining. So you rush here and guru that out at about the time David is signing autographs in Torino airport. Would the rules allow for some points in this situation? I would think it's only fair

I think we are counting a lot on the player’s will to join us but we better not wait too long and then watch the deal being hijacked at the last minute… ultimately i hardly imagine PSG being open to doing us any favors, less so if a better offer arrives from elsewhere.
Hijacked by whom? It's clear top tier clubs are not interested in him. Maybe some mid-table English team could come in once they sell their star man but I doubt Kolo would want to go there.

Truth is PSG massively overpaid for the player and need to swallow it. Another loan would allow them to amortize the cost further and maybe then we could pay the amount remaining on their balance sheet so that PSG could avoid recording a minus valenza.

So basically Kolo Muani has impressed so much here on a dry loan with us that we are now pushing hard to actually buy him, but shouldn’t worry about other top clubs potentially being interested lol

I get what you mean but this is a prime example of fuck around waiting and find out…

The thing is he didn't impress that much. He did prove to be better than our current strikers though and you can't replace the majority of the squad every year, that's why we're interested in him staying on a permanent basis. However, you don't pay 50mln for a squad option that is already 27.

This kind of money you invest in a player that is 5 years younger and can appreciate in value or you buy a player that's on a higher level than Kolo.

For the €50M price tag that we are being quoted regardless if it’s via a loan + obligation or straight purchase is going to be a very expensive one for us, which is not something we’d be ready to pay unless we consider that he did do enough to impress here despite the adversity and probably also think that he can keep maturing and get even better with a functioning system in place, but at the same time this means other interested clubs might look at this ‘opportunity’ similarly…

Anyway, the sooner we find a solution the better, rather not drag it too long.

Muani is good but the difference between him and Osimhen is huge. Osimhen is a complete striker, and I'd do everything to hijack that deal. Muani showed us that we need a fast dribbling type of striker instead of a slow target man based on how we want to play.

Also, it's worth checking Sky Sports Transfer News for UK related transfers. If Sancho is linked, it'd 100% be reported because it's a Man Utd story. I don't even think there was any contact for Ndidi either. No EPL teams have asked for our players either or they'd be some report.

I hardly see any team investing 50M in him. PSG simply overpaid and need to lower their expectations.

GJustjuve said that last night on a stream that he heard the club have totally shut up shop about revealing transfer targets and that's why journalists keep spouting the same names from Guintoli era like Hancko, Sancho, Osimhen etc because that's the only names their sources have given them.

Hopefully it's true and Comolli really is working behind the scenes on better targets but I seriously doubt it.

Piratical Paratici was an easy read, in comparison.

I often get the impression that these "gurus" (they should be called rumour aggregators) mostly either have to take massive leaps or just make stuff up. Rehashing old targets is always an easy one, but it did seem a bit stupid to me that the rumours again with a different guy were Sancho, Osimhen, the guys we wanted last year.

20M+ player like Vlahovic would be reasonable but why would they want Vlahovic..
