I think players who tried to leave did not receive the agreed salary, which reflects poorly on these leagues. But anyway, it will not last. No self respecting player will go there in their prime, no real stars will go there and once CR leaves (so 1-2 years) there won't be any media coverage too. We saw it already in China.

China is a bit different because the money was meant to be spent on developing domestic players with some help of international influence, eventually it wasn't sustainable and covid changed everything.

The Saudi league can definitely make this more long lasting and have the resources to make it grow far beyond the Chinese ever could.

It does not matter, the league does not have a pull European leagues have. So i can only see it as a retirement destination like MLS and nothing more.

The problem with Chico deal was that Porto doesnt want installment payment. They want cash upfront.
If we can force them to accept installment, good for us then.

Rodrygo is fantasy football but would sure fit in perfectly in our trio upfront, is very versatile with high workrate too, anyway he’ll likely cost way more than we can afford so it’s pointless thinking about it.

Well my analysis of him - He is ok, he can do good things but could also mess it up. He played well in the club world cup although I dont expect him to do much better than he has.
20M - I think we should ask for 30M - We dont really have anyone on the right to replace him unless you for some reason want Cambiasso at RB which IMO is retarded given he is much better on the left.
