This is great. Hopefully Cumolli can do more of this 4D chess with letting Newcastle take targets like Thiaw, with us us offering 5 of our players as part of our swap deal for Tonali in the hopes of signing him on deadline day.
Someone(s) help me out here. Are we like way behind in getting rid of players than other top Euro clubs or even contending Italia league clubs? Say like the number being higher than most?

Juventus is reportedly pursuing Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali and is considering a swap deal that would involve Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic moving to Newcastle, potentially alongside another player and cash
.
Here's a summary of the reported situation:
Juventus's Interest:
Juventus views Tonali as a priority target to strengthen their midfield, seeing him as a "dream signing".
Tonali is admired for his tactical intelligence, positional discipline, and leadership potential.
The Italian giants are reportedly willing to make a significant effort to bring the midfielder back to Italy.
They are reportedly hoping to leverage Newcastle's need for a striker, especially if Alexander Isak departs, to facilitate a deal.
Newcastle's Position:
Newcastle considers Tonali a vital player, especially after his strong performance following a suspension for breaching betting regulations.
He made 45 appearances last season, during which the Magpies won the League Cup and secured a Champions League spot.
Newcastle reportedly values Tonali highly and is reluctant to sell him, potentially demanding a fee around €60-70 million.
However, Tonali reportedly feels homesick and might favor a return to Serie A.
The Proposed Swap Deal:
Juventus is reportedly willing to offer Dusan Vlahovic, according to Goal.com}.
The deal could also include midfielder Douglas Luiz or defender Nicolo Savona, along with a cash adjustment, as it's unlikely to be a straight swap.
Newcastle is reportedly seeking a striker, particularly as Alexander Isak is linked with a move to Liverpool.
However, Newcastle reportedly passed on Benjamin Sesko, who is heading to Manchester United, and may also be targeting other options like Randal Kolo Muani or Nicolas Jackson.
Vlahovic has had a disappointing season with only 10 Serie A goals.
Potential Replacements for Tonali (if he were to leave):
Newcastle has reportedly identified Lazio midfielder Matteo Guendouzi as a potential replacement for Tonali.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Eddie Howe is an admirer of Guendouzi, who possesses technical and tactical characteristics that fit Newcastle's needs.
In essence, Juventus is attempting an ambitious move to sign Tonali, despite Newcastle's reluctance to sell and the player's perceived happiness in England. Juventus hopes that offering a combination of Vlahovic (who may be deemed surplus to requirements in Turin), another player, and cash might tempt Newcastle, especially if the English club loses its star striker Alexander Isak. However, the success of this deal remains uncertain.

As I've said for months already, Tonali is not happening.
Triple swap deal? Just sheer fantasy talk, you need to understand the complexity behind such an operation, honestly when was the last time you saw a club trade 3 players in 1 deal? Quite literally never.

After selling Thiaw to Newcastle, Milan now have the cash to grab Leoni if they want to. Parma want 40. By the end of the month, we might be holding the short end of the stick on multiple fronts.
It's just not going to happen, I remain adament as I have done for months we are not getting Tonali, not for 3 players in a swap deal especially in what I can only describe as unrealistic and sheer fantasy. And whatever this thing about Elkann putting money in to sign Tonali..... Hahahahaha
