The team is too young, need more experience. Not sure Xhaka is the ideal target, but someone like that helps in the locker room. I still think Mottas treatment of Danilo was the nail in the coffin last season. He may have been dusted as a player but it was also obvious the players all respected him. Once Motta dumped him I think they collectively said fuck this guy.

Yep it was clear in some key moments in the season in his tenure, that despite declining as a player, his presence in the team was very much felt by his teammates. We saw more free fall games mentally and alot more agitation and conflict around the club vs players since we got rid of Danilo.

Where is the old farts? We need more of them more like. Our oldest players are like 26 joined from mid level clubs.

Like Boksic said, we could use more experience that could have leadership roles in this team. Calm things down when they go haywire. Its why I was advocating for De Bruyne singing. When most of your team is early to mid 20s, it doesn't hurt to add a older top experienced name to guide them.
I wouldn't mind an older player in a team that has quality and youth. We simply don't have that. Otherwise I'd be all over De Bruyne/Muller.

I'm totally for having a young team. Eventhough I think 27 is quite young-ish, imo I find that age annoying when it comes to football, since we're giving them 4-5 year deal. Most of the time they stick here until they are 30 when we can't get cash nor quality from them.

Our squad is simply horrible. It might be silly but I'd be all over 18-23yo players, chasing talents and letting them play instantly. I'd even change the model of our club since what we're doing leads nowhere.

Tiago Djalo seems the most obvious choice, he's a decent rotation for them.

They dont want Djalo lol, they had problem with his going out and partying lol

Seriously, I respect haggling to a point, and it's far from window closing, but eventually come to a decision and just pay what's necessary to get a quite necessary player to this team to stay.
