Sandro and Lodi both are LB option for Brazilian NT. Lodi is a 2nd option after Sandro. Imagine if we buy him and he become our first option. It would push Sandro to consider move to retain his spot in Brazil NT

Because they play 352 now, not 442 anymore. Lodi is not a winger/wingback, his competition for LM in 352 is Carrasco, most useful player in Atletico.

He is pretty attacking for a 4 man defence fullback, but wingback is another position entirely.

And also issue with club because of contract dispute.

I'm not high on morale at all. I'm seeing players with a lot of possible upside but ofc some question marks.

The disturbing thing for me is some people tend to think anybody who had some injuries before will never be fit again. If they all help 2/3 of the season, we've still improved. And Di Maria? Well, I'd say enjoy him for a year. Next year is a problem for then...

At the moment, we're yet again fighting for 3rd/4th spot imo. If Paredes comes, I'd say we can do a bit more with some luck. And if we actually get a LB, I'd say we're scudetto favourites.

Just remember we weren't far off a scudetto fight last season too.

What about last 2 seasons tho? Iirc they didnt play a back 3 when they won the league (not sure about last season), and he was still a sub to Hermoso more than he played

Before that it was 442. He was a undisputed reliable top LB in that. Both good defending and doing really well offensively.

Ok so 2021 they used 442, when they won the league. And he was a sub more often than he started. Also no injuries except a few. This was after his first season in which he played a lot more. So this is the 3rd season he would have been underused for different reasons

Yeah he has had clear issues with Simeone, and contract dispute with the club. He had a top performances up to the league title, and wanted to rewarded for it after it, and been downhill in play time and tactical fit since.

Ah ok. Well I don't know about their inside issues, just kept seeing he doesn't play. But he's going to England now so we need to look elsewhere anyway (or we won't look at all it seems)
