Agresti just a few hours ago said on VS that the club is not broke at all, they just can't take any more players without sales. You can't afford to add midfielders to a department that has 9-10 players already (including the youngsters). You also can't take a new LB/RB while being stacked numerically in these positions. Bini & Bene know the jabronis are pretty much impossible to sell so they have to be extra cautions here and not add player to an already too big squad.
The only position where we can take a player is attack, an additional winger (Zaniolo) can be taken but Roma still doesn't want our players in the deal. If MDL goes, for sure they will get a 'proper' replacement.
So why did they renew De Sciglio?

True

but context matters

iirc Juventus were in the black before we signed CR7 thanks to Beppe. Now we are only second to Bankruptalona in debt approaching €1b (~€960m).

The club will continue to be hamstrung bc paying off debt doesn’t sell tix, etc.

Would you guys do an equal exchange with Arsenal, Tierney for Arthur?

Tierney seems chronically injured, but I struggle to find many players I wouldn't swap for the biggest failure we've ever had at the club.

Arsenal looking to sign Zinchenko, Tierney injury trouble, maybe they consider it?
This would be a dream.

Tierney is a top player but as you say his major drawback is his fragility. It would be too big an expense considering we couldn't count on him to stay fit at any given time.

Arthur isn't on the same level as Tierney and surely Arsenal would know that and wouldn't go for this swap

What distance is there to close by Juventus? I thought they were firm on the asking price? Management needs to stick with pay up l, not get cucked up again

There is zero reason to force a player to stay when he doesn't want to. It's bad for morale, the locker room, everyone involved.

He is far too injury prone at a relatively young age. Also we should be aiming higher.

Although I'd happily swap Arthur for any player who could make a contribution to the team.

Tomorrow we will understand if there is room for an offer from Juventus for Bremer. Otherwise, the names for the defence are Gabriel and PauTorres. [@DiMarzio)
