We need LW, CB - this is the biggest priority. LB we need to improve but we have players who could play there just the quality isnt right. For LW and CB we currently have no starters and this are the most pressing positions for us. Zaniolo is coming here if a) he can play as LW b)we send Di Maria to LW and he plays RW.
Im not counting De Ligt as Juve player anymore and we are fooling ourselves if we think he still is our player.
Unfortunately kostic rumours have died down could have solved our left side problems.

it isn't that zaniolo couldn't be great with us

but spending 50m on a redundant player will make us have 50m less to spend on CB/LB upgrades
First of all we won't spend 50m on him now, 10-15 max which does not affect the current budget.

Second of all - how is Zaniolo redundant?

Chiesa has a torn ACL and God knows how he will come back and when he will be ready for full load

Cuadrado 34 and probably leaving after this season. Di Maria same.

So the club for the first time in forever actually plans in advance and looks to the future to sign one of the best Italian talents right away is redundant all of a sudden? When are they supposed to do it? Next summer so everyone can moan how they let it come to the point of having to sign 3 wingers in one summer?

Zaniolo/winger is not an issue. The issue is most people don't like him, don't believe in him, too big of a risk etc. If we were after Antony or Raphinha or any other sexy name no one would care about 'prioritizing' a winger over a CB just as they didn't care about us signing Vlahović or Higuain or Ronaldo.

Marotta and Paratici had a summer Mercato when they changed like 10-11 players and it was a winning squad. It can be done.
I think they signed about 2-3 starters. And there was basically no competition at all. That Milan squad was over the hill.
It's not realistic at all... There has also just been a huge financial crisis in football...

The only real danger for Pau Torres imo is City if they sell Ake. And even then it makes little sense for them to spend 50m on a player who won't be a guaranteed starter and it makes little sense for Pau, if he has ambition ofc, to go and sit on the bench half the time.

Arsenal no, Tottenham signed Lenglet, Utd almost closing for Martinez, Chelsea going for Kimpembe and Ake.
And Pep is there, Citeh will have some fetish for Spanish players

So we should talk about defenders when we have 8 of them already in the squad (MDS, Rugani, Gatti, Bonucci, Sandro, Pellegrini, Danilo, Cuads). While for Zaniolo position we currently have 4 players in Vlahovic, Kean, Di Maria and Chiesa with Chiesa coming back from an injured Acl.
Some ppl here lack common sense. Of course we need cb if de Ligt leaves, but after that the biggest priority is to buy at least one winger. And correct me if I'm wrong but all the journos are reporting we are currently looking for these two positions.

We never tried or we aren't trying now?
We may have tried but I don't think we have put any effort. Maybe because we know that Torino won't accept, maybe because we are busy chasing Zaniolo or maybe something else. One thing is for sure though is that we will regret not signing him.

Or maybe Bremer prefer play in back three systems, little to adapt, so he can succesfully slot in rightfully. And this point is the concern of our management too.
We are both play in UCL so competition wise he can play in the highest competition, we are both title contenders so this is more of the logical thinking for his future development. If we believe in him maybe only money(salary) and De Ligt sale so it will give him space that will hijack him for us (Gatti is too young, Bonucci is too old and Rugani is not a competition)

People that say Zaniolo is redundant, or that Moggi post about him not fitting because he is a player who shoots and not one who serves, have you forgotten how difficult it is for our team to score currently?

We have an extremely low goal contribution from midfield. Locatelli is our most credible threat but he plays in front of the defense. Our fullbacks basically do not score, Alex and Danilo are defensive fullbacks. Cuadrado can contribute to scoring, as a defender or attacker, but Cuadrado is like 35, as is Di Maria.

We have a dearth of goal scorers and players who create chances. Chiesa does both things but again he is coming from a big injury. The other two wingers have 70 years old combined, they cannot play every minute.

Players like Pogba and Zaniolo that can create chances and finish them are needed. If Valhovic is our only scorer we risk to centralize most defenders attention on him.

We do need attackers.

Pal, if we had been chasing more defenders; they'd be yelling dinosaurball now...

Not only that but Zaniolo fits our tactics well because he can progress the ball out of the defence with speed and power, which is basically the only way we verticalize.
