I’d go as far as to say we will even force him to stay against his will if we get only derisory bids instead of what we request, in fact the only way i can see De Ligt somehow staying here at this point is only if nobody offers us at least €70M… however i think we will keep all doors open to whoever is willing to get closer to €80M or wtvr we are asking for and in the end the player will have little say once he burned almost all bridges with us already and staying here after this saga will eventually put even more pressure on him while also no longer getting the protection that he used to have from everyone around the club despite some really poor performances at times.
I think it is pretty obvious as we could extend his contract and he was willing to do so BUT he wanted a lower release clause (which kind of fits what we ask for him).
Should we fail to get an appropriate bid I think we will have no choice but to extend it with a lower release clause.
Should that happen he will be gone in the summer after that BUT we will lose money as a result of paying him a signing fee.

The best thing at the moment is to get an appropriate bid and sell him.

It's a question of adaptability and we have no time for that. IMO lefties at RCB is a mistake. I would have never seen Chiello play there for example.
I still think the same but I respect your view on this.

If Milenkvic is really available for 15m i would get him and another CB. I know this guy lost some hype lately, but he still could turn to a very good CB and TBF I would like him here instead of Rugani. Or even as 5th CB, because I don't really trust Bonu at all

Bayern can fuck right off.

I wonder what @Nostradamus thinks - I can't wait to hear his take on this potential transfer saga.
I m still pissed that Salihamidzic's behaviour led to Lewandowski feeling betrayed and wanting to leave asap. His contract extension was priority, but he blew it with chasing Haaland..total idiot and unforgivable.

I wasnt happy when this rumour came up, as it seems a neverending story with blasting the biggest part of the budget on CBs..every single year an expensive new one and the midfield rarely gets new quality. My priority was a player like Tchouameni, a player who can bring balance to the midfield with devensive qualities also. There is nobody, who holds the position and the CBs r often on their own with little help. Thiago was never replaced.

MDL is a quality player though and I m a muppet king so of course I m hyped now.

Brazzo is very active this year, I like his transfers to date, but Gnabry must extend, annoying saga.

My biggest concern is not selling De Ligt but even if he stayed, we do not have a natural left CB. Both Bonucci and MDL played better with Chiellini than with each other. A defense of Bonucci/De Ligt-Kimpembe who I wouldn't touch would be better than any combo of our current CBs because they don't know how to play on the left side.

So KK, Pau Torres, Gabriel etc., but we need a left-sided CB.
