DiMaria: “I have no doubt that i will be back to Rosario Central after the World Cup. Now, i will continue my career in Europe”.

I love the player and am not questioning his professionalism, but his main focus seems to be staying healthy and playing at the highest level until the world cup (which starts in November).

What version of Di Maria will we get from December onwards, or even leading up to the world cup in which he will probably do anything possible to avoid getting injured.

A lot will depend on whether he will accept the 1-year offer with reduced wages since it looks like he won't be signing any 2-year contract.

Well to be fair... watching the interview Di Maria never said this... he did said

1. He wants to stay in Europe
2. He will return to Rosario Central and has no doubts about it... but, never said that it would be after the WC.

Now having said that... it does seems to me that he just wants to play the WC and then we dont know what kind of player he will be...

Heres the interview if you understand spanish

Said this before, but we should keep McKennie. He's a useful player to have around. Doesn't need to be a starter if his form isn't great, but he's inexpensive and can make an impact on his day.

We also should have kept Kulusevski, but that's spilt milk under the bridge.
