If we still have the option on Hamed Traoré, we'd be nuts not to take it early in the mercato. For now we have Berna and Morata hanging in the balance while Atletico are real f*ckers in negotiations.
I think that option expired. However, I do think we can have him for 30 million :boh:

Traore, Zaniolo, a CB and a LB and we're in business.

We need this guy because SUDDENLY, MAGICALLY, Locatelli became shit.

he's so great playing high on the pitch that he has 1 goal and 0 assist in ~2200 minutes, playing only one single competition, being properly used in sassuolo's awesome 4-2-3-1 or even better 4-3-3. he's still one of the best at his job according to the acknowledged expert Anuraag Kulkarni. (copy-pasted his name in order to not fuck it.)

loca has 3g2a playing as a misused cb in a terrible 9-0-1 in ~2300 minutes. but he's shit according to you.

things you learn on tuz, chapter 74.

ok so way i see it if money continues to be tight next season and we can only get two signings:

cm and a winger. That is assuming we keep dybala, morata, berna, DS. if those guys leave then we need replacements.

ideally aside from that LB and another winger. but I'd settle for a starting CM and a starting winger.

those are priority. everything else is secondary
No my friend, the winger is Dybala's replacement. We don't need another tactically inflexible CAM, we need players suited for a 433.

If Dybala leaves we need a LW- someone like Traore, Saint-Maximin or, like you suggested, Di Maria. Renew berna on reasonable wages, he's a decent enough rotational player. Invest in LCM like SMS. Defense can wait another year I think

that is what i thought. cuadrado is about to run out of fuel.
Yeah I dont understand why we haven't been concretely connected to more fullbacks. I see it as just a big of a need as the midfield. No one the left worth starting. Aging Cuadrado on the right along with Danilo, who is more of a CB these days imo.

No. I'm told Locatelli is part of our shit squad over and over. Like you said, every time he enters the box he produces. And pretty sure he hit the progressive ball to Rabiot that setup Cuadrado.

Unfortunately he writes his name in defence every match. We have no CMs, I'm told.

The first time he played mezzala all season was last match. I don't even think he's an elite B2B but it takes 35 matches for us to put Arthur back there and let Loca move up. Only because everyone got injured.

I only posted that tweet to show how players differ based on the system. Suddenly Maxime Lopez is the greatest thing (he's not).

I want versatile mids, good on the ball, passing, end product, physical. Traore, Zaniolo, Gravenberch, Fagioli, (all of them if possible) guys like that. Enough sidepassing DMs
We won't get all of them, not in one summer. I'd be thrilled with Zaniolo + one of Gravenberch and Traore. We also have Rovella coming back, and Fagioli and Miretti going out on loan to gain experience.

By the summer of 2023, no more Fagiot, Bentapoor, Glassmsey and possibly Arturd. Locatelli will finally have dynamic midfield partners.

Probably true, sadly, but we might. It's not impossible
Sell Fagiot, get Gravenberch
Loan Arturd, keep Rovella
Forget Ramsey at preseason tour, keep Fagioli
McKennie can stay a bit longer
Dybala leaves, Zaniolo in
Let Kean go back get Traore
Morata won't stay I think, backup CF (or keep him)

Loca/McK Rovella/Zak Gravenberch/Fagioli
Zaniolo/Berna Vlahovic/CF Chiesa/Traore

You have depth everywhere except CF, and we showed we can play without (Berna-Chiesa vs Chelsea)
