Fact is, everyone now knows we need new attackers. This strengthens the position for Atletico in the negotiations for Morata. If we opt out that deal we need even more attackers and that could take up the entire summer, again forgetting about the LB and CM positions
He isnt entirely wrong.
We need midfield but with Dybala and maybe Morata leaving we will need to fill those spots.
As for the midfield - Since Dybala is leaving, it kind of confirms Pogba IMO.
This means:
LB - still needed
CM attacking type - Pogba
CM organizing type - Either Jorginho or we stick with Arthur for now and wait for Rovella to shine.
CB - Chiellini is leaving so we need one (not sure the one we got will play here next season)
CF/LF - If Morata leaves
CF/RF - Dybala replacement
I can see us sorting most of it. Dybala replacement is going to be tough to find (I mean a great player not just a replacement)
At least I will give fewer fucks if we lose, since I won't be really invested in the team. I can't bring myself to support players I don't like, especially if they are mediocre Jabronis.
He has been amazing for a long time now. Last three seasons putting out these stats.
14 and 11
17 and 7
14 and 11
Better fit than any other link we have for attack imo. He is an actual playmaker always looking to create a chance in the final third. The kind of player we need to pair up with Vlahovic and Chiesa to increase their opportunities.

Zaniolo is the Dybala replacement. He can play as a ST, RW, SS or even as an AM. Fits perfectly in the 4-3-3 Allegri wants to utilise and can easily play in a 3-5-2 as well.
Truth be told it seems the Dybala decision was pretty much decided in Jan.
Rumours from a guru on VS suggested that there is concrete interest for Zaniolo on both parts. This guru has called everything recent that has happened pretty early.
Great. I just won't be as interested in the team. With Dybala leaving and Chiellini retiring, there aren't that many players I actually care for or like on the team. Cuadrado, Morata (if he stays), Vlahovic and Chiesa and maybe Locatelli - that's pretty much it. De Ligt is going to leave sooner or later, and while being solid, he's not exactly a player that excites.
not sure about his grinta or mentality. just remember when he preferred to stay with sassuolo instead of coming to juve just because he's a guaranteed started there. he was a player who seriously lacked ambition. i do rate berardi, but not because of his mentality. i'd still take him of course, twice the player kulu is.
Say we get Raspadori/Depay/Berardi, you can argue that they'll be more effective for our system going forward but you'll get to CL and see that they're well short of what Dybala is capable of. As for Zaniolo with our J Medical butchers, we'd never see him play.

butchers must be replaced. the number of muscle injuries is inexcusable, and whether it's down to our physio staff, coach, pitch, medical team, nutrition, anything, it must be fixed.
that said, zaniolo is a huge, huge gamble. even bigger one than dybala. at least dybala has a predictable contribution when healthy.
I don't think it was a case of not being able to afford it. The management probably just thought that his performances and lack of availability didn't warrant a pay rise, and rightly so.
