As things stand now it's gonna be another year we dogfight for 4th place.
It looks like we are broke.
Also isn't this the year we must pay 40 million for Chiesa?

Yes it became obligation as soon as we finished 4th and qualified for the champions League. You will also have to take into account that we spent nearly 80 million euros in January transfer window which was part of the summer transfer budget.

What a depressing thread this year. There is nothing exciting happening, just silence or vague links with players who normally wouldn't be worthy of wearing the jersey.

Europa League squad in a non-farmer league.

Of course we'll try to win it all, but is scrapping it out for 4th, rolling deadwood off the books, getting that CL TV money and cleaning up the wage book...is that the best realistic option?

Our left side is non-existent, and our midfield is one injury away from mediocrity. We don't have the best squad. Anyone who says otherwise is delusional. It's a very unbalanced squad with a lot of trash on the roster. We may have numbers, but numbers don't equate to quality.

I agree with Turk. Why are people facepalming and laughing? Who has a better squad than us? Freaking Napoli? Milan?
It’s not only about individuals. There’s the coach’s needs, the team coherence, the cost Vs value, etc. Are we properly equipped to reach tactical efficiency? We’re not even halfway there. Milan has a project and they’re signing players according to the needs of their project hence why they won the league last year. They remind me of us back in 2011. Milan and Napoli don’t have the deadwood we currently have. I’m really not worried but I don’t like it when people act as if everything is perfect and we should be all of a sudden the favourites for the scudetto. There’s still a lot of work to do. I don’t believe Allegri is set up for success yet. But from what I see we’re on the right track. It will take time though.

I agree, we have the best squad in the league

Problem is whenever we make a line up, we take the injuries in consideration. And without Pogba and Chiesa is kinda goes fast in the wrong direction. Plus the mercato is far from over for us yet

Szczęsny (Perin)
Danilo (MDS) Bon (Gatti) Bremer (Milenkovic) Pellegrini (Sandro)
Pogba (Zakaria) Paredes (Rovella) Locatelli (MCkennie, Fagiolli)
Di Maria (Cuadrado) Vlahovic (Kean) Chiesa (Kostic)

I think this is our final squad for this season.
