I would love Renato Sanches here. He has been very good for the past 2-3 years, and is only 24 years old. It's a pretty low risk transfer.

Whoever we buy I hope has lots of pace because for some reason Italian teams are allergic when it comes to incorporating pace into their teams.

inter had pace with hakimi and lukaku and now both are gone. Countering with dzeko and lautauro got them nowhere in Europe this season

Juve has chiesa and Cuadrado only

Milan has Theo and Leao

Napoli HAD mertens Lozano and callejón, but mertens is slow now

the game has evolved and pace is a must when squad building and we need to adapt.

so bummer about juve having 2 quick players, but good for milan for the same?

also, we have morata (even though he won't shoot at the end of a counter) and snacks, they aren't slow either. remains to be seen whether morata stays for an other season though.

agreed on the lack of quick players though. i'd add quick passers for the midfield. and one who can hold the ball and can play in front of the defense for 40-45 games per season. and an lb, hopefully a quick one too lol

The term you are looking for is 'agile' players.

Vlahovic, Morata, Chiesa, Cuadrado, even Mckennie are all agile players.

Another agile LB along with a CM who can pass and we'd make a pretty solid counter-attacking team.

lol what?

not slow isn’t good enough, do you remember when Gervinho came into the league back in 2014? Serie a had no idea what hit them. Gervinho was devastating purely due to his pace and dribbling and he was never actually that good in the epl.

hakimi and Cuadrado are other examples. Devastated the league, Cuadrado more in his fiorentina days because we rarely if ever have him run off the shoulder of the defenders and feed him a thru ball anymore

we need to start targeting rapid players and compliment them with through ball specialists

Examples don't exactly prove much. Salah for instance did it the other way around. He never was THAT good in Serie A.

But speed is important in today's game, definitely.

We need this guy because SUDDENLY, MAGICALLY, Locatelli became shit.

Acutally I think Locatelli is fantastic. He wasnt at his best against Fiorentina but overall Im very satisfied with his performances

Actually Salah has been very good. It is true he became a real mega star once he signed for Liverpool but EPL allow more space and arent fouling as often as in Serie A.
When he signed for Liverpool I told my Liverpool cheering friend that they made an extraordinary deal with him. I also told him Liverpool made the deal of the centuary when they sold Coutinho and got VVD.

Salah was actually kinda good with fiorentina despite the fact that he was asked to play as a support striker with his back to goal, but boy when he turned and had the ball running towards goal serie a defenses didn’t know what to do.

another point I’d like to make, we need to stop targeting ‘registas’, static target men and support strikers.

we seem to be obsessed with finding the new trez pirlo and del piero successors, but the truth is those positions are dead.

Change coach and hire foreign one to replace allegri first. Speed is not his style of play.
