agresti about renewals on youtube:
- dybala: no meeting scheduled, player's priority is to stay, agresti expects him to stay after all, he can't imagine we'll lose him for free (i can)
- cuadrado: zero doubts, will sign a new contract, he's happy here, probably 2 year contract on the table
- perin, berna, de sciglio: contracts not discussed yet. atletico might be interested in mds, no offer yet

a bit more careful than tuttosport.

I don't understand this obsession with Fagjinho. Yes, he's a very good player, but he's not getting any younger and we don't need a regista. It's not imperative that we deploy one, and I think Fagjinho's quite a limited player - he's very good at what he does, but that's it.

last season he looked much hungrier. this season he looks disinterested and lazy. i still think he's a good player, but if zakaria does well then we don't need kessié. i'd rather look for a different profile, one who can pass, create, shoot and score.
All in 1 in SMS. Plus he can defend. The type allegri like. It just i don't know cheaper alternative with same characteristic. Don't feel gravenberch is the answer.

Or Pogba although it would be just as difficult given his wages.
Pogba is probably better when attacking but there is no doubt SMS is better in the defensive aspect

It depends on how you look at it.
If we play 4-3-3 our options for regista are: Arthur, Locatelli (although he should be used in another role) and next year maybe Rovella or Fagioli if he is a regista.
Arthur hasnt been great while Rovella and Fagioli are way unproven for given the ultimate spot as regista without other one who could replace them.

I personally would go for the attacking type of midfielder as we really need someone who can do damage from midfield. I remember the time when we had the amazing MVP and Marchisio alone had more goals than our entire mid..

Not sure about Pogba. Nearly 30's player wishing big last contract.
IMO he isn't the same player we had anymore. He lost his passion to football years ago. And i don't think Allegri can make him play again.
Risky move too. If he flop no one would buy him and he will become the worst parasite we ever have.

SMS over Pogba. Easy choice for me.

The latter comes across as semi retired at the age of 28.
Dont get me wrong I like SMS a lot and given the two options I`d pick SMS but its only because of wages.

There are good things about them and some negatives
SMS will cost way more than Pogba and his wages will be high although Pogba will probably have higher wages.
SMS might use us as a stepping stone for his dream move of Real Madrid.
On the other hand there is Pogba
His wages are probably going to be the highest on our team (even if I expect a slight paycut from his Man Utd contract).
Pogba`s defensive ability is definitely not great. He needs protection otherwise he cant really act.
Pogba will probably end his high level career with us so we dont need to worry about him leaving us for another club (which on the other hand can be interpreted as a bad thing as he wouldnt have a high resale value..)

Too much depends on dybala staying or leaving. He stays then you bring in a regista and release locatelli I'm his preferred role. He leaves and it opens up a much larger discussion.

Even worse, he turns 29 in a month. Pogba has all the makings of a Ramsey type signing. A player who was good 4-5 years before we get him, has sucked at club level for multiple years, only performs for NT, is super injury prone in recent years. Except Pogba would want double Ramsey’s wages and has been performing even worse than Ramsey had been when we signed him.

Could he turn things around and give 3-4 more years of top class football? Sure. Stranger things have happened. But he looks absolutely finished as a top player in club football and it would likely be another disaster signing.
