I think some fans need more realism. Look at our competitors for Serie A. Everyone has gaping holes in their squad and no team is fixing everything in one mercato, neither are we. CL is out of our reach for now. Don't even think about it.
So if a Pellegrini at LB means we have the funds to buy SMS or whoever. Fine.

The often injured Pellegrini as starting LB, what a good idea... and what about his backup? Would be wise to get rid of Sandro and get a youngster LB to start.
I get it, that the club has more important other priorities like replacing Dybala and maybe Morata + a goal scoring MID, and maybe Giorgio's replacement, but really big focus needed to the left side too.

If we can't buyout Morata our problem will be finding another cheap but kinda reliable sub-striker.
Kean? I knew he was a mistake since we signed him. We managed to scam Everton for 30m and now we got him as a last second striker for 3+4+28+3 ....
Our priority should be to find a team willing to take over our deal with Everton.
as of right now we paid 3m for this year loan, we're supposed to fork another 4m for next season loan and then obligation to buy for 28 + 3 bonus....

I wouldn't go for Pogba as much as I loved him. Almost 30yrs old. Years of injuries. Crazy wages. Same position as SMS.
The natural choice for us should be SMS if we can afford to buy him.
Then we'd need someone to play together with SMS and Locatelli infront of the defense who can offer long passes and fantasy.
Someone not too old and not too expensive giving that if we sign SMS we won't have much budget left for another top dog.

Chiellini without the World Cup should retire in summer.
Bonucci is 35yrs old and started missing too many games.
We sold our young prospects such as Romero and Demiral
We must HOLD on De Ligt! we'll make another problem if we short sighted and sell him for profit.
We should keep him and add another starter and keep Bonucci and Rugani as subs.
Because we can't change 3/4 of our team.

So much room for improvement. Really interesting that Zakaria is as cheap as Bentancur. Final year of Douglas and Pjaca on that list. Mandragora will get us some money, Kulusevski and Demiral (really sad in both cases, especially Demiral) will be sold obviously. Bernardeschi and Dybala away will save us ~21m gross wages. Cuadrado, Perin and De Sciglio might become a bit cheaper on that list due to a wage cut. And as last the biggest problems with Arthur, Ramsey, Rabiot and Sandro.
