I keep reading Gosens can't defend. Don't know where that comes from. Puts in his shift and good tackler/good at 1on1s. Don't know what his positioning will be like in back 4 but no one knows.

We cannot be compared Bayern, because Inter, Napoli, Roma, Milan wont gift us players like other bundeliga teams do.

kimmich was scouted at age 20 and developed by bayern.
We choose to get players like ramsey on high wages when we coud have tryed to buy younger players like pellegrini or barella.

We almost never buy the talented midfielders from smaller Serie A clubs, they usually end up elsewhere.

Allan - Udinese to Napoli
Barella - Cagliari to Inter
Sensi - Sassuolo to Inter

Tonali will probably end up at Inter as well.

Meanwhile we are too busy buying 30 year old injury prone flops like Ramsey.

Our transfer strategy for midfielders is simply abysmal.

He would have left anyway. So freezing him out in the hope that he would change his mind was the right thing to do.

Only four of those players have been signed from other Bundesliga teams though. They've done good job putting together a team of such quality with reasonable amount money. Credit where it is due.
