What's the point of proving what I already said? He had problems from February-May to and September-December of last year and that's an anomaly looking at his career. He wasn't injured in December and January, he requested a transfer and didn't want to play for them anymore. Once it became clear he was staying he immediately jumped right back in the team.
And the season before? nearly comparable with Douglas Costa this season

Factor in he's another year older.

Benfica are set to finalise a deal for Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani today. The former PSG man will join on a 3 year contract worth, €24m. (Source: Record)

missed 15 matches the season before compared to Douglas costa's 21 matches missed this season.
Yes, again, that's what I said. He had problems between February-May and September-December of last year which is an anomaly looking at his career and he's been problem-free for almost a year now. Do I need to draw a graph for you to understand?

So tell me how is that period more relevant than the most recent one or his entire career?

IF that's true (they're recycling that same report for two weeks now), that is in fact gross wage reported.

Even if it wasn't that's around 14m gross in Italy, which with new tax law would be more or less what Berna and Rugani cost us.

3 years, 24 mill for a 33 year old with an injury record of his.... bullet dodged
So happy we're going for a more expensive, worse and knees shot Arek Milik then.

I don't think Cavani wants to sign to be anyone's backup.

And you can't profit from his signing. You can with others.

Also at this stage he def prefers 3 yr contract (too much) and not 2

It’s pretty standard practice in organizations to communicate that you will be separating with certain staff or not renewing contracts and allow a transition period. Paratici could have been told that Cherubini will be taking a more CEO role and he is welcome to continue with Juve or explore his options. Agnelli probably saw that he was better suited to the sporting side while Cherubini is more executive.
