He was mentioned as taking over a role with Italy, probably why they asked. Seems that Mancini is not fond of the idea...

Probably best to kill two birds with one stone and get Lippi on board here rather than ruffle feathers when Italy have actually got it right.
Oh right
Some of us do support the Azzurri, such as myself and Salvo (who I was replying to).

I've only seen him linked to a job with Italy as a 'technical director', it's a supervisory role, but I've no idea what that is supposed to mean in the sporting sense. At Juve maybe it would give a hand to someone like Nedved.

To me Lippi is a coach, when you start talking about these roles it suggests stepping on the toes of other people.
I'd welcome it having such a figure in an advisory role would benefit us in my opinion.

i'm afraid arthur isn't physical and dynamic enough to solve our basic midfield issues. he's talented as fuck indeed, but he couldn't even bench ageing vidal. that swap with pjanic is purely financial, and his costs will be balanced out with some similar deals. technically he'll be a squad player if available.

ramsey will be very hard to offload. nobody would pay his salary.

i also think we need an other quality cm. if napoli would cover the osimhen deal by selling fabian ruiz, we should be all over him. i'd rather overpay for him than for milik.
Arthur is not physical enough but Ruiz would solve our problems? The Spaniard moves like a fly that fell into a jar of honey.
Not sure what was the situation at Barca this season as I haven't been following them in the slightest. What I do know is that Arthur is coming here to be a starter. There are mixed comments about his defensive contribution. I know that great majority of this forum hasn't seen more than two games of his so I'll leave that part. What's certain is that Bentancur and Rabiot are very capable in the defensive part of the game so even if Arthur is not as good as them it won't matter that much. He is surely fitter than Pirlo ever was.
We'll see about Ramsey, maybe he'll want out if he sees he has no role here. I'm pretty sure he'd have market in England.

Yeah it doesn't seem right. If he took an advisory role, would it be to work with Sarri? Or our future coach?

.
You sure? Pirlo even at old age top few most covered ground mileage players, and played full matches and rarely injured. Had excellent stamina his whole career. Because of his slow playing style its easy to assume otherwise, but run high kms per game proved how well condioned professional he was.

Arthur is not only injury prone, key part of your fitness status, but for 2 seasons now the most common critique in Barca was he cant last more then 60 minutes in games, gets gassed. Doesnt sound like he is so fit. Is mobile dribbler who keep himself active on pitch, but his stamina levels a question mark.

Yep, he seemed slow and soft. Pirlo was very dirty, from time to time he made some nasty tackles.

Paratici between the end of August and September will work on at least one more purchase. The Tonali track is cold, Pogba is far away, Zaniolo not for sale...watch out for surprises, but certainly Juve in midfield still intends to intervene. [Fabrizio Romano]

Paratici is following several, and will sign atleast one more football player this summer, after Arthur [zizinho]

The arrival of a first striker can only occur in the event of the sale of Higuain: very probable but not yet defined as higuain would like to see out his contract if Sarri remains the coach. The two most popular names are Milik and Jimenez: the latter is to be kept in great consideration but the former remains favored.(Giova Albanese)

Joking aside, everything will become clear when we know the amount of CL money we are getting, and which unneeded players have a market, so no action before September imo

Juve negotiate Khedira exit
By Football Italia staff
khedira-1909-epa_1.jpg

Reports are resuming again that Juventus will try to negotiate an early contract termination by mutual consent for Sami Khedira.
The rumour has been circulating for over a year, but the German always convinced coaches Max Allegri and then Maurizio Sarri to stand by him.
Another huge injury ruled him out for the rest of the season and he managed just 18 competitive appearances this term.
According to Calciomercato.com, Juve directors are again eager to get Khedira’s €6m salary off their books, even if it means giving up on a transfer fee.
He is under contract until June 2021, with an option to extend for a further year after that.
It would therefore make economic sense for Juventus to negotiate a termination by mutual consent and let the 33-year-old find himself a new club as a free agent.

:lol2::lol2::sami:
Madoff is such a small player next to Sami.
This guy is the smartest that I have never seen. When he'll stop his career, I want him to be our next sporting director, who is better than a con man to avoid getting ripped off, he knows all the tricks.
