Juventus could include Matuidi in the deal to try and bring Aouar to Turin. [Tuttosport]

Aulas said previously he tried to get a deal with Juventus for Matuidi. Not saying this will happen because it's all speculation for now, but we have good relations with Lyon, even if we didn't get Tolisso. Aulas mentioned he'd "like Aouar to go to Juventus" only a few months ago.

He also said "I'd ike to do deal with my friend Agnelli" and "I tried to get Matuidi last summer, without success. But I haven’t given up. We will talk about it in June. Matuidi would be perfect for us." - Not saying we'll get him, but he's talked about both players.

Aouar - Bentancur - Zaniolo

Looks wonderful, three midfielders under 22yo with possible WC potential. Where is the money though? we spent a lot on Kulusevski already.

Roma is trying to avoid selling Zaniolo, probably not dying to sell him to us either. Of Aouar I don't know his situation but Lyon generally are open selling right? it's just a matter of valuation.

No one has money this year, it's hard to find buyers. 3 players have to be sold for this to happen.

Rugani, Pipita, Costa, De Sciglio, Matuidi, Khedira, Pjanic, Berna. The list is long.
If you sell Rugani you need another CB, sell Higuain and need another CF, sell Costa and need a winger, etc.

Can't just sell half the team for 2 midfielders. Everyone would need a new replacement.

Finding buyers with cash in this post-covid market is difficult. Is anyone dying to sign Rabiot, Matuidi or Khedira?

The first 2 can be moved easily enough, the problem I figure is getting enough money for them now.

Football mercato is at a stand still.

Kante for 70m.

Would you guys do it?
No, we don't need to blow our budget for a DM. 70m is way too much. We need different profile of midfielders.

What price do you think we can get de Jong for?
I don’t think Barcelona will want to sell the hottest midfield prospect for years to come that they have forked out 75M for last year for less than double that amount.
I doubt we have that money, making this equally unrealistic as a van Dijk or Mbappé
If you ask me about a number, I'd say 10-20% around the 75M they paid for him. And, yes, Barcelona sources have debunked any speculation. I tend to believe things are not as simple and rosy, especially in Barcelona midfield. A lot of people not happy with their squad status and a potential Messi the midfielder years to come. On the other hand - all of them are on a lucrative deals, Barcelona needs a shiny new 100M forward toy, praying its more successful than the last 3.

Add to this mess the internal struggles which encompass everyone from player through management and shareholder. Did I say that Barcelona is broke? The city todo.

Also unrealistic as Mbappe - come on, now. Players like Messi, Mbappe are a mission statement from the club. We got CR7 and I can guarantee you that if we offer half his salary De Jong's agent will call a terrorist organization to get him here if need be.

As for how much money we've got - it depends on what the plans are in our owners. If they want to be agressive, get more branding, increase income and so forth - they need that elusive CL. A bunch of them in fact. One cannot buy luck(occasional refs at best), but can players.

Spain and England are always better options then Italy. That is simple true.

Can't belive what DJANGO is writining like he is the coach and news situation in Barca.
He plays every game there, have 17mil per season.

Why would he want Juve transfer, when his playing style is great with Barca?

Barca is number one club in money league, after corona they will again have money.
They can offer more money on salary then any other club in the world

Didn't Tici already come out and say this will be a sleepy mercato?

Swap meet level with zero to no splashing?

Can't expect us to be spending more than 50m gross with statements like that

Anyone who plays for Barcelona will have extremely padded stats, their style of play will make mediocre and fringe players look amazing. Arthur doesn't want to be here so fair enough, let's not get him.

Also, my house is for sale and I recently sold another property during COVID lockdown. The prices are pretty much the same but there are changes in the market behaviour. Why should we be forced to take a swap for Pjanic? Let Barcelona sell up then give us the cash. Spread the payment over a couple of seasons but don't give us shit like Melo. I don't see any other club in the world wanting him. Send Pjanic and Rabiot for Bernardo Silva if you're looking for swaps.
