Jovic seems like an atypical modern airhead footballer, perhaps even dumber than Icardi, so let's avoid him.
If you watch Icardi play it's pretty obvious that he doesn't contribute to play in the way that Higuain has for us and did for Sarri at Napoli. When he was at Empoli he had two strikers in Maccarone and Tavano who could play and assist, the fluidity being key. He wanted to play one striker there too but like he has had to with a legendary striker in Ronaldo and a talent like Dybala in the team, he found a way to incorporate two excellent veterans at a small team and moved away from the systems he previously employed at Avellino, Alessandria, Sorrento and others when he used a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 with wingers being key, and would later revert to at Napoli.
More important than who plays #9 in getting Juve to play in Sarri's style are pressing midfielders and skillful and decisive wingers.
At the end of the day, Paratici and co. will speak to Sarri and see if he wants Icardi. Sarri is unlikely to say no, because if Higuain is leaving what coach isn't going to want a player who could potentially score 25 goals? And more likely is that Paratici will sign him anyway and make it work, because that seems to be more the way in the DS/coach relationship than a manager in England.
For the record, I'm not totally against the Icardi signing, but there are issues with it. Almost every goal Icardi scores is either a penalty or inside 12 yards from a ball into the box from wide areas. He's a killer, but we already have one who plays slightly off to the left. Finding who provides this service is key, because from the left there is almost no threat from Alex Sandro now he has to manage the whole left flank. Big pressure on DC, Cuadrado, Dybala and perhaps Kulusevski next season.
