:sergio: :wallbang: Fuck this shit. Chain Smoking Cancer, being a mediocre coach, likes mediocre players.

Also, pseudo Italian Emerson (only playing for Italy because he's unfit to even be a ball boy for Brazil) is, at best, worth 25 million, less than half of what Sandro is worth.

If this is our way of lowering the average age, we're going about it the wrong way.

The information there is incomplete. The full story is a double swap: A. Sandro + Pjanic for Emerson + Jorginho

Not too bad after all, is it?

Everything depends on what would be the next moves tbh. If Pjanic and AS are traded with profit and both Emerson and Jorginho would come on lower wages (+ lower taxes for both I believe) then perhaps those savings would help with improving the midfield further but who knows.
Still, there will be some 'dead weight' to move as well, that should give more savings which could help with reinvesting:
- get rid of Khedira and his contract; I guess severance pay will have to be hefty but whatever you save up, can be spend elsewhere
- sell Bernardeschi
- sell MDS, we already have Pellegrini as his replacement
- sell one between Rugani and Romero (selling both would be too risky with Chiellini and Demiral being broken recently)
- if the midfield gets a proper upgrade with some more room for clean up, reconsider Matuidi's and Rabiot's place in the team

Then, I'd be interested in the upgrades before I start complaining about Jorginho and/or Emerson. If they can bring the likes of Tonali/Pogba/Arthur/Aouar then it might be worth doing the swaps after all.
