next year. pogba aouar haaland.

all money from winning ucl obviously.
Winning CL doesn't help with that. It is just a myth.
I remember in one year we practically got more than the winner by reaching the quarter finals, because there were no Italian teams in the knockout rounds, while the team that won it, from Spain, probably, had 3 Spanish teams in the semis.
Winning it doesn't get you something like 50 100 million. It only gets you 5 or 10 more than reaching the quarter finals.
The bulk comes from the TV deal and usually depends on how many teams from your own country are left in the competition.

As if DC isn't injured enough

I would still do it :D if financial difference is small. We would get the better player (way more of a scoring threat, one of those wingers who is a natural scorer) and way younger one (7 years). I read the rumour is loan swap with option. Both clubs want to sell first, but if they cant, will do the swap. They are both as injury prone as another so it would cancel itself out lol. The news wouldnt suprise me, because I'm not sure if you recall, but the rumours of us being interested in him being going on for a year.

Without knowing the details, hypothetically barca would be the big losers in a possible trade.

It’s a no-brainer. Of course we should do it, and I love Costa.

It would be another Pjanic -Arthur :D

The problem seems to be Dembele though, they were close to selling him to Liverpool but he rejected them.

Its not no brainer to @s4tch who I forgot to quote and was replying to, and maybe joker who posted that link (not sure if he is for it and joking, or against it).

But I agree, despite the injury history, I would do it, Dembele is a top world class talent as a winger, if somehow he is over his injury issues, which ever top club gets him will reap the rewards.

Is it smart to keep buying players that are injured frequently? What kind of wages would he earn? I feel like we aren't learning anything from Khedira, Costa, MDS, etc. Here we are trying to get unstuck from those kinds of players and pushing them out.

Even if he were to flop here we could still potentially sell Dembele on account of his age. Great deal for us if true.

yeah mate, it's not a no brainer for me. dembele is a problem, not surprising that barcelona are desperate to get him off of their books. he's a problem on the treatment table, in the locker (has the reputation of a prick), in the books, and honestly, on the pitch too. dembele for 5 years? no thanks no, you'd also be sorry for that deal in 2 months.

costa is a big enough problem for us, but it will solve itself in two years tops ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I dont fault him for rejecting Liverpool, just like Werner did, every attacker/winger should lol. There is no way you have an opening to get starting minutes there, they basically have the most solidfied world class trio around, no one good is joining to try to "take" Mane or Salah's spot lol. he would easier time getting his starting spot back in Barca then there. And if he comes to us, probably backup too, but its more doable prospect, competing with Kulusevski for the 3rd RW spot in attack, then Mohammed Friggin Salah.

He has some clear warning flags, I fully agree. But the only one that matters fully to me is the health issue. Besides the insane dickhead things he pulled in Dortmund to force himself out, little of what else issues unprofessional talk arent no big deals, routine stuff or media repeating same things. Plus getting a rebound move to another big club is defenitely a wake up call for players like these. With all due respect to Dortmund, Barca was his first big club.

And financially speaking, its Barca that made the huge mistake of overpaying for him with 140m, everyone knew it was a mistake by double atleast. Us getting him wouldnt require that, probaly loan with 20-25m plus Costa if I had to guess. They are desperate to get rid. Any deal we do should not be the too unreasonable kind. I'm more worried about the potential 55m for Morata, then any possible figures for this guy, who despite the warning flags, I consider a high end product player when he plays.

Now the health stuff, thats the only reason I would pause on this deal, he doesnt have frequently niggling small injuries like Costa, but he has had big injuries that kept him out for quite a while. On the pitch? I have no worries, he was top class in Dortmund, he is pretty much a direct weapon that is super hard to stop for Barca the times he was healthy, and in France he has been excellent, last world cup included.

The issue of the health scare, is negated by the fact we would be trading/swaping with a player who is also injury prone, but 7 years older, and defenitely the inferior player pretty much.

Tbh this is a shit rumour from a shit source. A shit story all in all which doesn't make much sense.

One day Costa is being swapped for Thiago, next day he's being swapped for Dembele. Typical Juve papers selling news to satisfy Juve fans' wet dreams.

4-4-2 maybe? Kulu and Chiesa are more high work rate type RM/LM than right wingers.

Ronaldo-Dybala
Chiesa/Berna - Arthur - Benta - Kulu/Cuadrado
Sandro - Chiellini - Bonucci - Danilo
Tek
Who knows at this point, whenever I see a formation it doesn't make sense and way too many good players are benched.

Yeah its super unlikely, its a The Suns rumour currently :D But it ever became a real possibility, we should jump on it.
