did you also think yesterday the same when pjanic, berna or mds started?

this mercato is weird because of the extremely long season. most players on a contract will play until the end of the season at their current clubs, regardless of whether they are about to be sold or not.
There is a huge difference.
Pjanic started because:
1. We need him and while he isnt exactly providing the form of his life, we still know his quality and unfortunately he is still one of our best midfielders which says a lot about how crappy our mid is.
2. Pjanic wants Barcelona - If we play him or not means nothing as he would accept it either way...

Arthur on the other hand - Said multiple times he wants to stay so if you want to push a player who is unwilling to move you dont just start him.. you put him on the bench and use him as a last resort..

Berna or MDS - Both arent in current negotiations according to reports although an interest has been shown in MDS.
MDS hasnt replied to the reports which might mean he is open to a change of clubs.
Bernardeschi did say he wants to stay and its not as he has any real suitors + Im not that sure our board want to get rid of him..

19 yo Kulu isn't ready to start for us
Not that sure about it. Its not as if D.Costa or Bernardeschi do wonders..

If Lazio keeps it up and looks to be a challenger again next season, I think we'll try to sign SMS. That'd be a very us thing to do. And it works with Arthur and Bentancur.

SMS ------- Ben10 ---- Arthur
(Ramsey) (Arthur) (Matuidi)

Khedira the immovable object as reserve.

Ben10 and Arthur can easily swap positions/roles there. SMS B2B. No specialists defensively but all three can defend, and all three can play Sarriball. :klin::b81:
I like it even if I rather Pogba than SMS

Pjanic-Arthur swap is an accounting operation, financially it will not bring us anything.

I'm not as optimistic as you are, healthy clubs like Bayern, Chelsea, Real don't have to cook their book to invest.
If we want to invest we have to sell our dead weights (rabiot, bernardeschi, rugani...) but as they are unsaleable, we will still be blocked and we will trade with players that we don't necessarily want, for lack of anything better.
Chelsea so healthy that they got a transfer ban.

Real have financial problems as much as Barca.
Bayern have domination in the league in all terms and all players from Bundesliga go first to Bayern.
Even BVB and RBL players are very likely to go to Bayern, and because there is no rich clubs in Bundesliga they can get almost every player they want.

Lorenzo Pellegrini today came on and quickly gave his 12th assist of the season, even after losing a month of matches with a fracture.

I think this goal shows something we are missing in midfield, watch him from the start (number 7). Attacks space, makes himself available, opens the play wide, recycles possession, and finally gives a great long ball that Dzeko converts perfectly. This is a play in the style of prime Pjanic.

Combining the brains necessary to keep possession flowing while advancing the play more directly.

Does he still have the 30m clausule? If yes, it is a no brainer.

I just think that if we are planning on starting bentancur and Arthur we may need that third starter to have more experience. I highly doubt Sarri and the club will bring in another younger midfielder to start.

Yes, they only need to record Arthur's depreciation value multiply by his leftover contraction duration (about 22.73M) as cost and revenue of 80M (10M in cash & 70M in assets) for selling him, enjoying the plusvenza of 57.27M.
Then they record the second transaction for Pjanic depreciation cost into their Income Statement (assuming a contract of 4 years valued at 17.5M each). That means Barca got roughly +39.77M from this transaction. This is the simple explanation as I have not accounted for the wage budget :)

The only real transaction for them is a +10M of cash.
There is @Mandzukic17

Lets get Dzeko instead of Milik. What a class player, he would be great short term solution.
No. He's 34 FFS! No more geezers!

If Pellegrini would accept leaving Roma we should definitely go for him.

If not we should try for Tonali or Castrovilli, preferably the former.
Again, those guys would be good options off the bench, not as starters. We need a quality caliber player in midfield. Bentancur and Arthur aren't going to do it alone.

I really wanted Aouar over Arthur, but I guess we can't have both :sigh:

Man U, a joke of a team, have Pogba and Fernandes in midfield - both players who'd be starting for us.

I'm not really optimistic about summer mercato.
We have too much dead weight brought in for financial reasons
Basically no money avaible unless we sell the good ones.
Sadly we didn't discover any new talent recently and we keep increasing the cost of players/wages without improving anything

I’m optimistic I we get this deal. It would release some financial stress with the profit we make on Pjanic. Enough said about the arguments of him dropping value each year (after these days we all know them by now) personally I think it’s the right time to sell. I believe that Arthur is a improvement.

Besides this deal we just need to have a little bit luck with selling players, unlike last year.

Assuming that we get Arthur it doesn’t have to be a very complicated mercato. We just need a CM and a striker. And if we get really lucky the experiment with Dybala as a striker succeeds in the coming games, that would mean that we have to look for a backup and a top CM. Sounds very realistic to me.

Add Kulusevski and Pellegrini, lets see if we can sell De Sciglio, Khedira and Higuaín. Rabiot for sure has some value.

That should the main goal, but if we get offers for other players like Bernardeschi or Costa obviously we have to listen, but to construct a complete team we don’t have to do to much right now.

Ronaldo - Dybala - Kulu/Costa
Arthur - Bentancur - X/Ramsey

Looks nice imo.

dude you'd change my mind if we manage to sell Khedira,Matuidi,Higuain and Rabiot and replace them for better players.
not overpaying Arthur just to convince him getting here...
Selling Danilo somehow...
