For those who watch PSG, is Rabiot’s ceiling really higher than Bentancur’s? How do they compare role wise and in potential talent?
I don’t watch PSG but I’ve seen Rabiot enough to say that he’s a different type of player than Bentancur. Rabiot is more defensive. Hes more like Can. B2B/CDM hybrid. Bentancur probably has the higher ceiling, but why not have both?

Rabiot is an obvious replacement once Khediras contract is up. Would love to get him now though, and juve has been connected to him for years, so you know there’s fire near that smoke.

Tough to call as both can be really great. For now Rabiot is definitely the better player but as you said they are different - I think you analyzed it quite well

Pogba will go to Barca/RM. With those wages we won't even compete :D

Rabiot could happen for sure, especially on a "free" ala Can transfer. Marotta should obviously do it. Rabiot for free > SMS for ridiculous money (that nobody wants to pay anyway).
Yes and no.
Yes in terms of a value for money but also no in terms of being the best of the best
Taking Rabiot instead of SMS when both options available is not ambitious enough
SMS could be the nail in our opponents coffin (and Im talking about CL as Serie A we can win even if we dont let Ronaldo play for the whole season...)
Rabiot would be a wise purchase as on a free to get a player of this level..

The thing that really interest me is the quality that Can will provide and how will he adjust.
Its funny people said he was bad and now their dream midfield includes him..
I personally think he is a very good player but he isnt WC
The only WC player we have in our mid is Pjanic
Can Can become WC?! Maybe.. We will see during the season..

I've said it before but its amazing how many are discounting Matuidi. He was amazing in the world cup and part of a world cup winning midfield. If he returns with that sort of form then he is like a new signing.

Tough to call as both have potential to be WC
Rabiot is young and very talented. He could provide great passing skills and do a very good defensive work
Bentancur Im impressed by his determination and he seems to be able to work physical when needed. He also spread the play quite well.
Bentancur could take Pjanic`s role in the future (with less assists of course) and he could do his job in a different way
Rabiot can play the B2B type although as someone mentioned he is not a pure B2B as he is more of a hybrid player

Matuidi has its pros and cons
Matuidi is all about energy and I dont think he was amazing at the WC but rather played his role well
Matuidi could definitely be useful but I wouldnt want him as a regular starter

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has suggested that he is not happy playing under Jose Mourinho. “There are things I cannot say...”
by Football Italia

The former Inter boss dropped Pogba for both legs of United’s Champions League last-16 tie against Sevilla last season, fuelling links with Barcelona and a move back to Juventus.

“If you’re not happy, you cannot give your best,” the French World Cup winner told BBC Sport.

“There are things I cannot say otherwise I will get fined. I am the same [for France and United], but it’s a different team, obviously.

“I still enjoying playing football but like I said, when you are comfortable or confident and are good in the head, it’s going to be easier.

“I always love the club. I came from the academy, I played for the first team. For me, it was a dream come true.

“Everybody was on the same page [in France’s World Cup squad]. When you have everybody with you, everybody next to you, you know they want to fight for you, obviously it’s going to be easier.”

Could it be....?! A late loan + obligation swoop?
Too late for that.. EPL window is closed so I doubt they would sell/loan without an option to reinforce themselves..

Man U could theoretically roll with matic Pereira and Fred, but yeah it’s unlikely.

We could roll with Mandzukic instead of C.Ronaldo as much as Man Utd could roll with their second rate players (They are not second rate but compared to Pogba they are...)
If Ronaldo was sending out cryptic messages, and had a generally aura of discontent, I’d tell him to fuck off and roll with Mandzukic instead. No player is bigger than the club.
